Chapter 2- Talk with Dad...

Chapter 2-

I just reached my house. Oh I just forgot that I haven't even seen my house yet fully. We just kept some boxes, dad received a call from his hunter friend and he ran with the gun in the woods and I just followed him behind him. I saw his friends shooting on the wolves and then all the things happened...

Finally I am in my house, and it's just Awesome. Not like the previous one as it was big mansion but this is small and sweet home.

It was two stories. The house was nice inside the rooms with comfortable size. I saw one box lying and it was my box so I pick that box and I started going upstairs and opened the door into a room that looks like nice sized bedroom.

I wondered where my Dad was, so I quickly got up and ran in the kitchen downstairs but he was not there. There were two rooms, I guess, one will be dad's room. So I quickly turned the knob of one door and saw my dad sleeping. I sat beside him in the bed and saw him open his eyes.

"Ana, are you ok honey? Where were you? I was so worried? Are you alright?" I was startled by so many questions. He was checking for some injuries but he found none. I let him finish his questions and took his hands in mine

"Dad, I am absolutely fine. But you are not." I saw his confused face. I know he was worried for me being dad but something was there. If he was so much worried he would have surely started a war as I was with werewolves whom he used to hunt. And I had heard, hunters are were's enemies.

"Dad, why did you start hunting again?" I asked him first. I really wanted to know why he started hunting again as he had promised mom not to hunt until time came for that.

I saw him drawing breath probably to take the strength to answer my questions.

"I haven't started hunting. I had promised your Mom not to hunt. I had my hunter friends in Oregon as they were travelling in whole America to find different species, but they accidently caught a wolf today running in the forests and they started firing. David called me and I ran to stop them but they were not listening to me and on the other hand the wolves had disappeared except that pup."

I m glad that he kept his promise to mom. But he knew something which I don't. Hunters had seen wolf, it means they won't leave Oregon soon. They will interrogate people here and will try every mean to get to the roots of the wolves in Oregon. I was scared for another hunting session. I don't want anyone to be hurt.

"Dad, you know something don't you?? Tell me dad, I wanted to know everything" I requested dad on telling me

"Its nothing" he said and shrugged

"Really?? I know my Dad. If I had gone with wolves, and you haven't came to hunt them down it means you know something. You trust them to keep me safe, isn't it dad?" I said with an expressionless face.

"Yes, I trust them to keep you safe. Probably because I love your mother and trust her with my life." I was so confused what he was saying. Firstly I was so weak and secondly so many puzzles of my life. How can a hunter trust a wolf with his daughter? And that too when he don't even know that they were werewolves, not any ordinary animals.

He noticed my confused face and he continued "I know your Mom was a werewolf." I gasped at this information and my eyes widen. Mommy had told me that only few humans know about werewolves and that too they are bounded by the contract to not to say anyone about it. Only the mates who were humans know deeply about the werewolves.

"Your Mom told me as I was her mate. But i was a human, so we ended up alone from the pack as I don't wanted my hunter friends to be suspicious about anything. And then you know, I started my own Business and then we were a happy Family till your mom died. I was tied up with contract so I haven't told you anything about them. But I guess, your mom told you" he said.

I nodded. I was so shocked to take all this things in one day. It's like my new journey changed everything. Seems dad have known that I was not any stance to reply him so he continued.

"We never discussed about this but your mom's last wish was to shift Oregon. So we came here. I know you have many questions to ask and even I have many questions for you about these hours you weren't home, but you seem to be weak now and secondly I want you to adjust in the new house. And....."

I nodded at everything he told me. I guess he was right. It was too much for me to absorb in one day. And I was tired too...but when he trailed off...i was on high alert. Without thinking I blurted "And what dad?"

"Actually I had to attend a conference and I have to leave you all alone which I don't want to. I will be leaving for whole week" dad said hanging his head low. I know he was confused, the conference was important and he doesn't want me to leave all alone in this new city.

"Dad, I will be fine. And I had lived in our previous house when you were at business trips and don't worry about my safety, I will call Uncle David, he will look after me and you know, I have school from tomorrow, so mostly I will be busy...You can go dad, I can take care of myself. And I am a grown up girl now" I said with whole confidence.

I saw him smiling. He pulled my cheeks. He always does that, I don't know why. I had asked him many times but he won't say after all he was just stubborn as I am...

"Ahh dad...dont do this, I am not the chubby girl anymore...." I said rubbing my cheeks.

"You will always be my baby girl. And who is Uncle David" he said smiling

I just pouted and answered him "David Kingston, he was close friend of Mommy."

He was in deep thought, I guess remembering something but how can he know him as he was a werewolf and secondly he was not in the town too, they had shifted before my birth.

"Ok. I will leave you but I will meet them once I return from the trip, is that ok?"

"Yes dad." I told my dad. We both hug each other

"Have a sleep for some time, I will prepare your dinner" he said

I just nodded and told him that I don't want to have dinner as I wasn't hungry at all and went into my room for sleep. I just hit the pillow and sleep evaded me after all it was much tiring day today.....
