Steven, Amethyst and Rose walk up to the counter of Beach Citywalk Fries. Rose starts to speak.
"Hello Mr Fryman, did we miss our chance to order?"
"Afraid so, Mrs Rose."
Steven looked disappointed.
"The bits!" Amethyst chanted banging the table.
"The bits!" Steven followed.
Rose and Mr Fryman were both surprised.
"You heard the man!" Rose giggled with a wide smile.
"The bits! The bits!" They all chanted.
"Okay, okay!" Mr Fryman gave in, "Take it easy on the counter, will ya?"
"Yes!" Steven and Amethyst shouted high-fiving .
Mr Fryman handed Steven an oily bag of left over chip pieces.
"I can give you actual fries if you want." Mr Fryman offered..
"No thank you, Mr Fryman. As you can see these two are very easy to please." Rose said with a smile.
"Ah, sunset, my favourite time of day. When the sun goes down, and the second sun gets bigger and bigger in the sky."
"Did Earth always have two suns?" Rose questioned, "Oh no..."
"What is it?" Steven asked.
Steven, Rose and Amethyst run towards Garnet and Pearl.
"This is bad." Garnet exclaimed in terror with her most calm voice.
"Look at the size of it!" Pearl screamed, "I had no idea these things were so big!"
"Garnet! Pearl!" Amethyst yells.
"We saw. Some of us are trying to protect humanity. Where were you?"
"Someone was hungry and couldn't keep their hands to themselves." Rose laughed.
"Rose, how can you laugh at a time like this?!" Pearl screamed.
"The laser light cannon is on its way. We wouldn't want to waste a fusion on this old thing."
"Well, I might." Garnet smirked.
Mr Smiley drove past in a huge truck with the light cannon.
"Oh, thank you for doing this Mr Smiley." Rose said.
"No problem, Mrs Rose. Saving the world again, I see?"
"Let's get this cannon fired up!" Steven screamed.
The cannon aimed at the floating eyeball. Rose had it planned out perfectly, all she needed was the trigger word to fire the laser.
"Hotdogs." Rose whispered under her breath as a tear went down her cheek.
The laser pierced the red eye and it shattered to pieces.
"Aww," Steven exclaimed, "I wish I could have used my powers!"
"Give it time Steven, it's not that simple." Pearl explained.
Rose giggled.
"Well Steven, if every pork chop were perfect, we wouldn't have hotdogs..."
"Where did you hear the from?" Pearl asked.
Rose watched as Steven ran around the beach without a care in the world. He was laughing and playing, he had a life she wanted.
