late night talks

The annoying ringing of your phone filled your silent room, waking you up from your deep slumber. You groaned, sitting up but before reaching out for your phone, you debated if it was worth it.

Still half asleep, you decided to ignore it, laying back on your bed to sleep once again but that was completely backfired when your phone won't stop ringing.

You turned on the side, blindly looking for your phone as most of your hair covered your face. Your hand on your bedside table, moving around to search for it. Once you've found it, you grabbed it, tapping the answer then pressing it against your ear.

"Hello?" Your voice hoarse and deep. You were still laying on your bed, with one hand around a pillow while the other hand is at the back of your phone, pressing it against your ear.

"Hey Y/N–"

You groaned, taking a deep breath, "Stiles, it's 3 AM." You breathed out in exhaustion, moving to the other side. The phone still pressed against your ear.

You really love your boyfriend but right now, all you want to do is sleep.

"I know–" He let out a puff of air, "I'm sorry. I can't sleep."

"And I– Your voice, your voice calms me down. Just talk to me until I fall asleep, please." He begged

"Alright," You said, pressing your palm against the mattress, pushing yourself up in a sitting position. Your back pressed against the headboard. You brushed off the strands of your hair out of your face. "What do you want to talk about?"

"Just– Just anything."

Then you did, you talked about how your day was even though he was with you. You talked about random things, turning into a deep conversation due to your thoughts as of the moment. Your mind flooded with questions that you haven't imagined thinking about in the morning or afternoon.

It was your 3 AM thoughts that got him to smile as you ramble about nonsense things but he's not complaining at all. He loves how you're so intrigued with the topic, adding questions after questions that got you more thinking about the topic.

By now, you weren't sleepy at all. The thoughts keeping you awake until you stopped short when you heard snoring, signalling that he was already asleep.

A grin made its way on your lips, letting out a puff of air, shaking your head from side to side as you thought about how adorable he is.

Then you decided that you had to sleep. You laid on your bed, tugging the blanket closer to you, reaching until it covered your whole body, your head visible. You still hadn't ended the call as you closed your eyes, the snores and murmurs of your lovely boyfriend, putting you back to sleep.
