After my talk with Valerie I went to bed thinking about what my day would be like tomorrow, because it was my first day at Glen St. Mary high school.
"Blake, Blake?" I hear a sweet soft voice say shaking me to wake up.
"Yes?" I moan stuffing my face in my pillow.
"You have to get up for school." the voice says.
"Ok, what time is it?"
"7:30. School only starts at 9:00 so you have time."
"Oh ok thanks Hayden." I say stretching and getting out of bed.
She skips away and closes my door behind her. I get out of bed and walk into the bathroom attached to my room and curl my hair. I brush my teeth and wash my face. I put on BB cream, champagne colored eyeshadow, bright pink lipstick, black eyeliner winged out and mascara. I exit the bathroom and get dressed in a knit mint green sweater with black hearts on it, dark wash jeggings, grey TOMS, and a diamond bracelet my grandmother gave me. My phone vibrates which means I have a text. I pick up my phone and look at the text.
"Text me when you get home for school! I wanna know how it went.
Love ya xo!
~Griffin" it read.
"I will don't worry! love ya too xo!
~Blake" I reply and show my phone in my back pocket.
The cordless phone in my room rings and I look at the caller ID and its Nathan.
"Hello what's up?" I ask.
"Umm... just wondering if you were awake." he says sounding nervous.
"Yep I am! Your sister woke me up."
"Ok perfect! Do you want a drive to school with me and Sawyer?" the mention of Sawyer's name made my stomach produce butterflies.
"Sure, I would love too. When do we leave?"
"Umm... around 8:15. you still got a half hour to do what you gotta do."
"K see you and talk to you then."
"K bye." he says hanging up.
I hang up the phone and put it back on the charger. I hope people like me today. What if they don't? I wonder. My thoughts were interrupted by a knock on my door. I turn the glass door handle to reveal Dylan standing there with his sketch book and a pencil behind his ear.
"Do you wanna come down and eat with me?" he asks.
"Sure." I say walking out if my room following him to the kitchen.
"You nervous?" Nathan asks pulling up to the high school.
"Yes!" I reply with a shaky voice.
"Don't be you'll fit in just fine."
"Thanks." I say.
Sawyer gets out of the car followed by Nathan and me. I walk over to Sawyer's side and follow him into the school followed by Nathan. A sea of kids fills the hallway which makes my overwhelmed instantly. Sawyer must have noticed my tense body because he wraps his arm around my shoulder holding me close which makes me relax. Nathan departs from us as we make our way to the office to get my schedule. Sawyer knocks on the office door and lets me out of his hold. The door opens and a black haired, icy blue eyed teenage girl steps out and squealed when she seen Sawyer and walks off giggling to herself. I wonder what that was about. We walk into the office and Sawyer greets the secretary with a warm smile.
