the text was from Chris.
can we meet up somewhere? you left school and I want to know if you're ok
I was happy he cared about me. I responded saying:
sure. meet me in the park in 5
when I got there he was already on a bench waiting. he looked so cute and innocent just sitting there in the cold with his coat and beanie on. I approached him and sat directly next to him.
"hello." he said.
"hi." I responded.
"are you doing ok?"
"Yeah I took a shower and a nap to sort of forget everything."
" did it work?"
" no. .. my mom texted saying she was at jail trying to bail out my dad."
"oh my gosh!!!!" he said shocked." what did he do???"
"DUY."
"that sucks major ass."
"I know."
" is it alright if I eat at your place? I'm running low on food and I want to spend time with you."
I was surprised he asked. I accepted anyway and gladly let him come over. we walked back to my place. he started to hold my hand when we were almost home. I was so embarrassed so I got this goofy grin on my face. we didn't talk, just hold hands and smile the whole way home. sometimes I think the best way to bond is to not speak but just we with that person and have a connection.
when we got into the apartment my mother was there... without my father.
"whose this?" she asked.
" he's my good friend from school named Christopher." I responded.
"well hello christopher!" my mom said with a huge smile on her face and so proud that I have actually made a friend.
" chris." he said as he reached.out his hand for a shake.
" OkAy Chris, and what brings you here?" my mother asked.
" I was wondering if I could stay and eat then get to know your gorgeous daughter."
what the heck. Chris just called ME gorgeous. what is this. I don't even know what life is anymore. no one's ever called me that, let alone pretty or attractive. not even my parents.
I couldn't help but start blushing.
we ate insta noodles. how fancy right? me and Chris then headed to my room.
