After stepping out of Alice's bright yellow ford, I stopped and eyed the new place.
It was a small little place, made of bricks. The outside looked charming due to the tiny garden with pink and white flowers. Something Alice would love. I stepped towards the wooden door, and attempted to open it before realising that it was locked. "Where's the key?" I asked, leaning on the brick wall casually. Alice turned to me and stared, as if thinking. Finally, she reached over to a pot plant and dug for a while, before revealing a key with a bright blue chain attached. "Here," she replied. "Here's the key."After packing everything away, I yawned and slumped onto the wooden table in the dining room, exhausted. I felt a jacket being thrown on me, and Alice's strong hands shoving me up. "Come on sleepy head, go make some friends in town," she laughed. "Take the train, and don't cause too much trouble."
The travel on the train was noisy, but I liked staring out at the busy city and tuning out to everything. The rumble of the train wheels against the tracks relaxed me, and I shut my eyes, ready to sleep.
"Uh, hello there. Can I sit next to you? All the seats are taken." A deep attractive British voice snapped me out of my daydream.
"O-oh, u-uh, sure!" I replied somewhat awkwardly.
"Thanks." The stranger smiled at me and sat down. I couldn't help but study his cute face, his pale skin and dark brown eyes, and his unique styled honey hair.
Eventually, the stranger turned to me and noticed I was staring, to which I blushed like a tomato in return.
"You alright? You seem a bit.. flustered." He said.
I grit my teeth and face palmed, not wanting to tell my worries to a complete stranger and yet also having a strange urge to tell him.
"W-well, I just moved here today, and I'm worrying about all these things that I shouldn't probably be worrying about, a-and uh, yeah.." I stammered anxiously.
"You moved here today?"
"Yeah.." I replied.
"Well, just remember this. If you're feeling anxious, or depressed, look for the thing that makes you the most happiest. And when you find it, cling on to it as hard as you can. Don't let go."
As he muttered those words, the train began to stop, and he stood up and started walking to the door. Without a thought, I shouted "Wait, wait!" and he turned and smiled at me.
"I-I d-didn't get y-your name."
"Pyro. Pyro's the name. And yours?"
"Alicia."
"Hm, well, Spikey suits you better."
"What?"
"Spikey."
"Why? I'm not spikey anywhere?.."
He laughed, and hearing his laugh made me want to, too. Like I heard something truely funny.
"Spikey just.. suits you somehow." He said, shrugging.
"Oh.. o-okay.."
He turned and exited the train, leaving me still in shock.
