Let's be honest with each other here, we rarely see stories with no or bad covers ranking.
In my opinion, if you don't even try to get a cover then you probably aren't trying hard when it comes to your writing, so why would I read it?
I've been on wp for a few years now and the cover game is stronger than ever. I see trends and themes now, so what would have been good three years ago is barely decent now.
That's just the way wp works.
So, on my short story account I've randomly made people covers. As a thank you, but on this account, I've decided to allow people to ask for a cover themselves. Here are some examples of what I have already made for the lucky ones I chose before.

Requirements:
- Must follow this account and one other (this is a fan dedicated account so you know can't have strangers just asking. I do recognize usernames)
- Must give proper credit
- Must be for an already published story
- Must reply saying whether you will use it or not
- Must give basic details: actress/ actor, hair /eye color, ethnicity, over all theme (ex. Dark, pastel, etc), user name or writer's name
I'm putting this here, so only those who read know about it because I don't want a bunch of strangers on here. This is a fan dedicated account after all.
Also, check out the multimedia clubs on Wattpad, most don't do it for free (ie they expect something in return) but there are a few out there!
