I watched Peter approach him with his arm outstretched, clicking his tongue. I was almost laughing.

"Well I ain't gonna smell it if that's what your after." He spoke. That broke me. I was bent over laughing my head off as Peter stood up and apologized. Beaver spoke to Lucy as Peter came to me.

"Shut up Addy." He smiled.

"Sorry." I straightened up but continued giggling silently to myself.

"Further in." Whispered Beaver. We began to walk to the house with the Pevensie's trailing behind a little.

By the time we reached the dam, the children seemed to have lost the ability to talk.

"Beaver, Adelaide. Is that you? I have been worried sick. If you two have been out with Badger again... Those aren't badgers." She said when she saw the kings and queens.

"I never thought I would live to see the day! You couldn't have given me 10 minutes warning?" Mrs Beaver scolded her husband.

"I would have given you a week if I thought that would have helped." Beaver joked. We all then went inside. I went straight to my room and changed into a corset and leggings, fixed my hair and returned to the group.

"They don't even know about the prophecy!" I heard Beaver exclaim.

"Why don't you tell them then Beaver." I smiled. I saw Peters eyes scan me up and down, not in a perverted way, but more of a loving way.

"Look, Aslan return, Tumnus arrest, the secret police, Its all happening because of you." Beaver explained.

"You're blaming us?" Susan asked.

"Thanking you dear." Mrs Beaver interjected.

"There's a prophecy, well two..."

"One! Only one prophecy about the kings and queens of Narnia!" I snapped at Beaver. He must have understood, so continued with the main one.

"When adam's flesh and adam's bone, sit Cair Paravel in throne, all evil will be over and done." Beaver recited.

"That doesn't really rhyme." Susan commented.

"You are kind of missing the point." I said.

"It's long been foretold that two sons of adam and two daughters of eve, will enter Narnia, defeat the white witch and rule of us all." Mrs Beaver simplified the prophecy that was known throughout the land.

"And you think we are the ones?" Peter inferred.

"Well you better be, Aslan is already fitting out the army!" Beaver smiled.

"Can't Adelaide rule on her own?" Susan asked.

"It is not my place your grace. As soon as you and your siblings are crowned, I will no longer be Princess but Lady Adelaide instead. Ruling through inheritance is not my destiny." I informed them. I looked down at the table, feeling Peter's eyes stare at me. I was not meant to rule through inheritance but through marriage, married to High King Peter, after I have gained my wings. My fate has been written in the stars from the moment I breathed my first breath. The group began talking about how they were not the kings and queens. I could not hear it so I got up and left the room, heading to mine.

Some time later Mrs Beaver appeared.

"You love him don't you?" She questioned me.

"I only met him today." I said.

"It doesn't matter. I met Beaver and the same day we got together. Its called true love, sweetie. It is clear you love him and he loves you." I followed Mrs Beaver back into the main room.

The door burst open.

"Hurry mother they're after us!" Screamed Beaver. I ran into my room, grabbed my daggers and strapped them around my waist, then slung a full quiver of arrows over my body, grabbed my bow and returned to the group. Barking, snarling, the scuffing of paws. They were all sounds that echoed through the dam.

"The tunnel!" I shouted. I piled everyone into the tunnel, Beaver leading the way. We had almost reached the end of the tunnel when I heard a wolf snap at my heels. I glanced back and saw that it was Natter. The swiftest out all the wolves.

"Climb! I'll hold Natter off!" I shouted to the group. I grabbed a dagger and swept it to the side, catching the end of his muzzle. The group began climbing. I turned and drew an arrow. I loosed it but Natter dodged the arrow with ease. He jumped on me and I kicked him off, Cutting his eye with my blade. I stood, running to the exit. That was when I felt it, the pain of tearing flesh, the agony of a hole ripped through my skin. I fell and stabbed Natter in his back, killing him instantly. I pulled myself to the exit.

"Addy!" Peter called. He still hadn't left the tunnel. He ran to me and picked me up, pushing me through the small exit and climbing up after me. He and Beaver moved a barrel to block the exit while Susan came to look at my injury.

Now out in the moonlight I could see the teeth marks. I took off my boot and rolled up my legging, revealing deep bite marks. Tears flooded down my face as the agony took over. The group spoke to a fox while Peter ripped the bottom of my legging off and wrapped it tightly around my wound. He then lifted me up and aided me while we all climbed the tree.

I do not remember much. The pain was all I could think about. I had learned that the White Witch had taken Edmund that Aslan was on the move. I stayed near Peter, as he was the only one that could carry me or help me in any way. It was time to go to sleep. All I had done was sit between Peters legs, my ankle raised on a log, staring into the dancing flames. Everyone had curled up individually to sleep. I lay back but the cold snow beneath me was preventing me from sleeping. I let out a shiver.

"Do you want my coat?" I heard Peter ask.

"No, I could not take away your warmth your majesty." I shivered.

"One I am no King and two you clearly are cold. So if you wont allow me to give it to you, at least share it." He said. He wrapped his arms around me and held me tightly. I snuggled into his warmth.
