The Justified Mystery

The Scene

A few minutes later we arrived at the crime scene. It appears to be a very huge one. There are about ten cop cars and a huge crowd behind the yellow tape. I got out of the car followed by Minho close behind.

That's when I saw Mr. High-and-Mighty, Kim Hyun Joong, emptying his stomach in a nearby bush. Followed by officer Kim Joonmyeon (Suho) with a hand on his back providing extra support just in case he passed out.

I walked over, curious to know if it was from the crime scene or his stomach acting up. Minho still close behind, probably afraid I'd run off somewhere like I normally do during a crime scene.

" Good Morning, Agent Kim Joonmyeon, and Hyun Joong. Hyun Joong do you mind telling me why your so sickly pale, and emptying your stomach in a bush."

I got some sort of response from Hyun Joong, that I think it was a muffled " go see for yourself ". In consideration, Minho and I walked our way to the entrance and found the crime scene in a big loft, which could be the living room.

Not a second glance later, my boyfriend had to run out and throw up his barely digested food. The scene was beyond horrid. I've never seen a crime scene that could make my body want to curl up in a ball.

When I walked in there was a body of, what looked like to be a thirty-two year old man, on the couch in front of the television with all his inner organs all over the floor surrounding him. While the woman, who looked to be around twenty was behind the couch in a rocking chair, had her chest plunged open by a crowbar and her heart in her hand. The bodies looked to be about six-to seven hours old.

There was blood everywhere on the walls and floor. The room was completely destroyed, like someone had a temper tantrum and wrecked everything. All pictures ripped up and the coffee table broken, and thrown against the wall. I was walking toward the entrance, then I noticed the door ledge had been broken. Forced entry is the first thing that popped into my mind.

I walked out and ran to Minhos side while he puked up his breakfast. He looked beyond pale. Also, the look in his eyes showed complete horror. I wished he never saw that.

" Babe, are you ok? Do you want to continue, or do you want to go home?" I asked very worried.

" I'm fine, we can continue just give me a moment alone to get my thoughts together, please." Minho choked out. Ugh, I hate when he does that.

" No, I'm not leaving you alone. We are sticking together, whether you like it or not." I told him sternly.

" Okay, I understand. Just promise to not go on without me, I have to make sure your okay, not physically but mentally." he told me looking at me while speaking in a serious tone. I saw in his eyes that he was worried about me. It wasn't only about my nightmares, that constantly deprive me of sleep, it was also how he saw me in the worst state of mind before.

" I can't go on without you, your my partner. So are you done."

" Yes, lets go look at the rest of the crime scene." he said shakily.

We then walked back towards the house. We entered the house and avoided the living room for Minhos sake. There were investigators upstairs, so by instinct I went up the stairs with Minho trailing behind me. We noticed pictures on the wall were crooked or shattered on the floor.

" Gentleman, what do we have here? " I asked the men that where in front of the room talking quietly amongst themselves, while I was putting gloves on.

" Ah, well, look who has finally joined us, boys." I looked and found the source of the voice who belonged to no other than Kim Jonghyun with his partner and lover, Kim Kibum, by his side.

I looked inside the room and saw my team. There was Choi Siwon, Kim Kibum (Key), Kim Jonghyun, Lee Hyukjae (Eunhyuk), Lee Donghae, Kim Jongdae (Chen), and Cho Kyuhyun.

" Jonghyun, nice to see you finally out of the office." I teased. He laughed embarrassed.

" So what do we have here? " asked Minho, finally stepping into the room.

Minho and I looked at the surroundings, and saw the room of a little girl. I was handed a picture of a little girl around eight years old, and then I passed it to Minho. Then I saw the bed messed up as if she just was in a rush and everything on the night table knocked over or broken. The toys all destroyed. The closet door off its hinges, along with clothes everywhere. A little table upside down and the chairs thrown against the wall. The window wide open like some got in, or used that has an escape.

" Well, it appears the little girl was sleeping when she heard the sound of the front door being busted opened downstairs, she got up and ran to the closet for cover after hearing screaming, but before that, she locked her door." Siwon explained everything, while I visually pictured the scene.

"The murders downstairs occurred after someone broke in. Then he came and busted in to this room, searched for the girl, and kidnapped her." explained another person, Chen the DNA specialist, while searching for prints. I nodded and continued looking around, while the boys had their own conversation.

" So, Minho, looks like your stomach couldn't handle what you saw downstairs, huh? You look a little to pale." Eunhyuk teased him, while Donghae stood beside him snickering.

"Funny you should say that, remember the case two years ago? I remember when you two wouldn't stop vomiting every time you saw the crime scene photos." Minho and I snickered.

" The window latch looks like is broken. Like someone was in a really huge hurry to leave." I said walking towards the window.

" And there's a sign of forced entry on the door. Wait, my though is what kind of a person would want or have to do with this family or better yet their daughter." Minho said out loud.

" Question is Minho, who is the family?" Kyuhyun said.

" Yeah, what's so great about the family? " asked Donghae curiously.

" That's where I come in." answered Hyun Joong, standing in the door way looking a little paler than Minho, with his partner, Suho, behind him " This family owns Caliber Technologies ." he said in matter-of-fact tone.

" Wait, do you mean Caliber Technologies, as in the security development systems. The systems we use at work and at our homes?" I asked.

" Yeah, but I think this person was after something more than a security system." said Suho.

" Well boys, looks like we got our work cut out for us. Lets bag and tag any evidence from here and the downstairs scene, contact the remaining family for the bad news." I said. Wow, its gonna be a long day.
