Since I had thirty minutes to kill, I just decided to write down lyrics in the Notes app.
I know what you are. You are a dark cloud that follows me like a virus without a cure. You're like a pissed off crowd, I'm a fucking riot in the streets, and you're a dirty fucking whore (A/N: Lyrics are supposed to be wrong.)
So currently it's shit.
I frowned. How the fuck do bands do this? I can barely even write a half-decent tenth of a song. I clicked out of the app and closed my eyes, placing my phone on the nightstand. I'll just take a quick ten minute nap.
~
I opened my eyes and yawned, looking at the clock. It was 12:06.
Ah, fuck. Lloyd's going to be so pissed at me. Oh well, better to be late and show up than not come at all.
I grabbed my phone and turned it on, checking my messages.
From Lloyd: R u still coming
That was sent an hour ago. Fuck.
To Lloyd: Yeah. Sorry, I overslept
From Lloyd: It's fine
I put the phone in my back pocket and ran a hand through my hair to see if it was tangled. It wasn't. I took my earbuds and shoved them in my back pocket, that being a habit now, I guess.
I walked to the door and called out, "I'm going to Lloyd's."
"Okay. Have fun," my mom replied. I guess she was sitting on the couch, in the living room.
"Yeah," I said and walked out. Lloyd's house was two streets over from mine, so I can walk there in about five minutes.
When I got there, I knocked on their door. Lloyd opened it and pulled me in for a hug. I'm really bad at hugs. I didn't even hug him back because I know I would do it wrong.
I can't even give decent fucking hugs. I don't know what the hell is wrong with me. Oh, wait, yes I do. It's because I'm fucked up on so many levels.
I'm sure he noticed I didn't hug him back, but if he did, he brushed it off and said, "Hello!"
"Hi," I said awkwardly.
"My friends are downstairs watching the movie," he said.
"What're you watching?"
"Lord of the Rings."
"Oh. Never seen it," I said.
"Really?"
"Nope."
"I'm surprised. It's a really good series. Do you want us to replay it?"
"No, that's fine."
"You sure?"
"Yes, it's fine," I told him.
"Okay. C'mon," he said and started walking towards the stairs. I sighed. I hate human interaction.
"'Kay," I said and followed him down the stairs.
"Guys, Nick's here, move over," he said and pushed them out of the way.
There were three people there, one with dark hair, one with brown hair and a beanie, and... Johnny? How does Lloyd know him? I frowned in confusion, and he fucking smirked at me. "Hey," he said.
The other two glanced at me, but focused their attention back to the movie. I'm pretty sure that Lloyd introduced me to them before—because they looked familiar—but I forgot their names.
"H-hi," I mumbled back and got a beanbag chair that was shoved in the back corner of the basement.
"Nick, there's room on the couch if you want," Lloyd told me.
"It's fine. I already got the chair."
"Oh, um, okay."
I've never seen Lord of the Rings, but I'm pretty sure a guy with curly hair and blue eyes just got stabbed by a demon.

I'm laughing because this chapter is literal shit. Oh well. :/
Anyway, I don't know if I made it clear or not in previous chapters, but if I didn't, let's all just pretend that it's summer break in the storyline, because I honestly don't feel like writing about hell—school, sorry.
I think I mentioned school in the first or second chapter, but I'm not sure. If I did and you were confused about it, please tell me and I will have it fixed so that you aren't confused in future chapters. Thank you!
On a totally different note, I'm currently addicted to listening to The Paramedic. They're an amazing band.
