Chapter Thirteen; Promises.

It’s now June almost July, Jesus it’s almost the end of my sixth year. I remember it so clearly on the day my parents sent that ruddy letter about sending me to Hogwarts with my half-blood brother. This year truly has been eventful, I’ve been blamed for a false drug claim, fell in and out of love, stripped down to my underwear and ran round the school and not forgetting my best-friend and lover is a bloody death eater for Voldermort! Gosh my life is exciting, but who ever said life was simple.

It’s like when you’re young your told stories of poor young ladies who need a charming prince to come and save them. Once the prince has saved them from the evil queen or whoever it is they get married and life happily ever after with hundreds of spoilt bratty kids. Why isn’t real life that simple, what I’d give for once night with prince charming… oh I mean Draco!

It was almost summer, thus the end of the school year was getting closer and closer bringing Draco to a panic. The cabinet was still to be finished; Draco sent day and night working on it therefore skipping out on sleeping, eating and lessons. I was being to worry about it so I had forced Draco to take me with him when he went to fix the cabinet to make sure he doesn’t do anything stupid such as killing himself though not eating enough. He wasn’t happy about me joining him all the time because he was worried for my health, but then if he tried to make me go have a nap or meal I would force him to come with. We’re a team so we had to do everything together.

Whilst fixing the cabinet I would sit and watch Draco, sometimes speaking to him or sharing stories. But normally we would sit in silence, relaxing in the peace of the world which would soon fall as of the war witch was drawing closer and closer with every breath breathed in. Reality is starting to set in for many people, we need to grow up and quickly to save those we love from this horrid war in front of us.

As like many afternoons I was seated on the large pink loveseat reading while Draco is tapping and fixing the cabinet. The long drawl on the page of my book was fuzzing in and out of focus, caused by the lack of sleep I’ve had in the last few weeks. Focusing at the book trying to read I soon found myself reading ‘Romeo and Juliet’ how ironic! I would’ve laughed at myself if the room wasn’t so silent. I smile to myself.

“What’s so funny?” A husky voice in need of sleep asked me.

I look up from my book to see a pale and sleepy Draco looking at me, leaning back on his hands. I laugh and shake my head. “Thinking about how ironic it is with me reading ‘Romeo and Juliet’.”

Draco smiles, something which he hasn’t done for a long time outside of this room. He stands up, wipes his hands down his legs before sitting himself next to me on the loveseat. He takes my legs up from the floor and places them on his lap. He traces circles on my legs before continuing speaking. “It is ironic.”

I smile at the young man next to me, he looks tired. I wiggle nearer to him so he can lean his head against my shoulder, which he does. He closes his eyes and drapes his arms around my waist drawing me closer to me. He sighs, kissing my bare shoulder.

“Love you.” He mumbles his voice full of sleep.

I kiss his temple, and then whisper against his cheek. “Love you more.”

He laughs softly.  “No chance.”

I giggle licking my bottom lip. “Really? Gosh, you are a true gentlemen. So darling how much do you love me?” I question teasingly.

He smirks before he lifts his head from my shoulder. “Are you setting a challenge Miss Janes?”

I smile, before pouting. “I don’t know Mister Malfoy. You tell me.”
