Chapter Four: Who is that guy?

Aria finally arrives in Rio - Brazil, she claims her suitcase and makes her way over towards the taxi company to hire a cab, but only to see her Dad holding a sign 'Here for my beautiful daughter Aria'.  Aria runs to her Dad and embraces him in a big hug.  "Haha, oh honey I am so glad you are here" Aria's Dad says.  "I thought I was getting a cab?" Aria asks her Dad.  "Your Mum called up ahead, telling me you was coming and I wanted to surprise you". Aria takes a good look at her Dad to see how fragile he has become, his skin is white as snow and that he has lost weight. Aria's Dad starts coughing violently.  "Hey Dad, are you alright?" Aria says with worry. Aria quickly gets the water bottle out of her bag and gives it to her Dad.  "I am alright now" Aria's Dad says out of breath.  "Come on Dad, lets get you home". Aria and her Dad get a cab home.

Upon walking through the door, Aria is greeted by Gia who is a nurse.  "You must be the famous Aria, your Dad has told me a lot about you. I am Gia, your Dad's nurse" while shaking Aria's hand.  "Good things I hope" Aria replies with a smile. While Gia sorts out Aria's Dad's medication, Aria goes outside to the garage where her Dad's racing car is locked up. Aria's Dad has a blue 1979 Z28 Camaro. Aria embraces the beauty of the car while running her fingers softly across the paint.  "She certainly is a beauty" Aria Dad's declares. This gives Aria a scare.  "God Dad don't do that, creeping up on me, you scared the shit out of me!". Aria's Dad laughs.  "Why don't you take her for a run? there is a street race going on up the road".  "But Dad, she is your beauty".  "Well Aria, she is now yours". Aria's Dad throw her the keys. Aria walks to get in the car while mouthing thank you to her Dad. Aria puts the key into the ignition, and a loud roar escapes the engine. 

Aria drives to the street race and people gaze upon the car when she arrives. Aria gets out the car and three guys lift their sunglasses off to get a good look at her.  "Damn she is hot!" the guy says to his friends. Aria then accidentally bumps into someone.  "Hey watch it" Aria says.  "If I recall you bumped into me" the man says gruffly. Aria looks up to see a tanned, dark eyed, bald man with a muscular build.  "Sorry" Aria says.  The man walks off. Gosh who is that guy? he is so rude, Aria thinks to herself.

Aria then enters herself into a race, little did she know who she was up against. Aria then sees the same man in his black Dodge Charger.  "Nice car you got there" the man calls through the window.  "Thanks, she is beauty" Aria calls out.  "She is no match for my car" the man smirks.  "Oh we will see about that" Aria smirks back.  They line the cars up to wait for the call out "GO!".  Tyres screech against the ground when Aria puts her foot down on the accelerator.  They nearly both reach the finish line, where the Dodge Charger is in the lead.  "Come on, don't let me down now baby" Aria says to her car.  Aria puts the car into gear and pushes the NOS button giving her that extra push putting her into the lead and winning the race.  "Yes now that is more like it!" Aria squeals.

This leads the man to get out of his car and come over to Aria.  "Now that is some serious racing" the man says.  "You underestimated me" Aria smirks.  The man laughs.  "The name is Dominic Toretto" while smiling and holding out his hand. Aria could feel butterflies when he introduces himself.  "Hi, the name is Aria Wilson" while shaking his hand.

Dom's POV

While I shake Aria's hand, I can't believe that she has certainly got my attention.  The way she knew my trick and didn't push the NOS button until the very last minute.  The fact she beat me when no one ever has beaten me. This woman is a mystery.

While we got chatting I introduced her to the gang.  "Aria this is, Brian, Mia my sister, Gisele, Han, Tej and Roman but we call him Rome".  "Hi everyone I am Aria Wilson" she smiles. I could see Aria is getting on well with Mia already.  "Seriously Dom, she is cool. She has a red GTR Nissan Skyline back home, I like her already" Brian smiles.  It is nice knowing that the gang have taken a liking to her already.

Aria has certainly reignited something in me, as I haven't felt this way since Letty died. I intend to find out what her story is.
