No Ones POV

"Come here you little fucker! Why the hell are you late?! I said 3:00 ON THE DOT!" Smelly Gabe hollered, spit flying from his mouth.

The young, bright-eyed child flinched away as tears started to well up in his innocent eyes.
"I-I s-sowwy G-Gabe. School l-lets out a-at tree-twenty. I g-got here a-as fast as p-powsible."

"Well that obviously wasn't fast enough, was it?" Gabe growled, grabbing the raven haired head by his previous hair.

"W-What awe you doing?! Let me go! Mommy!" the kid cried out, tears brought to his ocean eyes, making it look as if there were waterfalls falling from his eyes.

In that moment, the front door was quickly opened, the door being pushed with such force that the handle went through the wall on the backside. The mother stood there, a kind woman with kinds eyes that had gone dark and angry and the sound of her child's cries of help. She dropped her bags, filled with the little boys presents for turning 3, upon the floor without care and marched up to the pig with determined steps.

"Put. My. Baby. Down. Now." she spoke clearly, with hostility in every fiber of her being.

The man dropped the boy, in which he got up and ran into his mothers arms.

"Percy," Sally said, gazing into her child's eyes, that looked so much like his father's, with love and sadness. "Run into your room and grab the large backpack under your bed, okay? Once you get that, run down here, grab all of the bags I dropped by the front door, then run out of that door don't turn back. Run as fast as you can, okay? You'll know where to go, you just have to run."

"But.. what about you Mommy? What's gonna happen?" his fearful sea green eyes gazed into his loving mother's eyes, who just smiled.

"Everything will be alright, okay? I promise you, everything's gonna be alright. Now, go get your stuff, okay? Just remember Percy, I love you so very much, and you were your father and I's entire world. Go, now." she pushed her son gently to the hallway his room was located down, which just so happened to be the hallway closest to the door. He turned back towards his mom one last time, taking in everything about her, her kind, gentle smile, the chocolate brown eyes that filled with love every time she looked at her son, the barely seen light freckles that graced her nose and danced on her cheeks, the dark brown hair that always smelled like her infamous blue cookies, he memorized every last thing about her before turning and running to his room, as fast as he his little legs could take him.

As he reached his bedroom door, he heard his mother start to yell at the smelly man, but he tuned that out. Quickly, he opened his door and dashed under his bed, grabbing the backpack his mother promised would be there. Before leaving, he looked around his room for anything else he wanted to take with him, before grabbing his favorite stuffed toy, Nemo, with a hidden zipper that held pictures of his mom and dad, and his mom's blue cookies recipe. Throwing the stuffed toy into his bag, he ran out of the room, down the hallway, and to the front door.

He noticed his mother had moved her fight with Smelly Gabe into the living room. As he grasped the bags she had dropped, he heard a loud bang and his mother's scream. His eye became wide with fear as he heard the monster of a man start to laugh and walk toward him. He grabbed the three bags in one hand, opened the door, and sprinted down the dank apartment stairs. Faintly, he heard the monster of a man yell curses and threats.

He ran out the door of the stairs, out the front door of the apartment complex and down the block when the overweight giant finally made it out of the doors. He spotted the boy running, which made him run faster. Thinking as fast as he could, the little boy thought of his favorite park, which held many hiding spots, one that even hid a house.

Taking a left into the woods, the child darted past trees and over logs until he finally reached the park. It was only a minute or two, but it felt as if he had been running for years. He sprinted past the slides, the seesaw, the swings, and the sandbox. Finally, he came upon the thick brush that ended the park and started the trails. Taking the main one until he found the tiny, hidden trail, he made it to the house before stopping for just a second to hear if the monster had been following him. He had. With his eyes widening with horror once more, he shoved the door open and ran inside.

The house had been there since the 1780's and had even been used to hide escaped slaves trying to get to the Underground Railroad. Percy ran to kitchen and crawled into a cabinet, closing the door just as the front door had opened. He could already smell the stench of the man, even though the fat giant had just walked through the door.

Moving the secret back panel over, the child crawled into a small crawl space that led to both the basement and a secret exit. The murderer began taunting the small child, just as he had closed the panel to encase him in darkness.

"Perseus," the monster sneered, "come out, come out wherever you are. Mommy dearest isn't here to save you now, is she? No, because your mom's laying on the ground, bleeding from a hole in her head. The fat bitch deserved it, though."

Percy shut his eyes halfway through the crawl space, as a sob attempted to force its way out of his mouth. Biting his tongue and wiping his delicate cheeks, he crawled until he made it where the crawlspace split into two, and went down a random one, listening as the monster's taunting became quieter. Eventually, Percy made it to the rusty, old latch door. Unlocking it as quietly as possible, he opened it and flew out into a pile of mud. Not paying attention to his wet clothes or matted hair, he ran from the house, ran from the monster, and ran from the body of his mother.

He ran right where his mother had told him to, where his gut told him to.
