Arizona pulled up in front of her house, Amelia sleeping peacefully in the passenger seat next to her. As soon as Arizona stopped the car Amelia seemed to have noticed as Arizona saw her eyes begin to flutter.
"Oh, hey. Good to know you didn't completely pass out." Amelia looked up at Arizona, confused, then slowly started to look like she remembered what had happened. While Amelia was still groggy and slightly drunk sitting in her seat, Arizona hopped out and walked around the car to open the door for Amelia, almost like a chivalrous act although it was really just because she didn't want to see Amelia try and get out herself and stumble face-first onto the ground.
Arizona opened the passenger side door and as soon as she did so, Amelia pulled her short, brown hair back hastily to get it all out of the way of the remaining vomit that had been brewing in her stomach. Arizona looked away as Amelia discharged all of the excess alcohol and bile left over from her night at the bar, feeling bad for having to witness the brunette's weakest point twice in one evening. Arizona reached into her purse to find a napkin to hand to Amelia who accepted it graciously after she finally finished throwing up.
"I'm sorry... I know... I'm a mess," Amelia stated, in between pants.
"I know you're a mess, but I don't mind, I'm glad it's me taking care of you for the night and not some stranger who would've snatched you from the bar. Come on, let's just get you inside, you had a rough day," Arizona noted, stretching her hand out to get Amelia up from the car seat and onto the sidewalk next to Arizona. "More lik a rough life," Amelia muttered under her breath. "Yeah, that too," Arizona said in a lowered tone. Arizona locked the doors to the car and then walked Amelia to the front of her house, Arizona didn't get a glimpse of DeLuca's car anywhere on their street so he must have been at work or with his girlfriend, Arizona chuckled slightly to herself at the thought. The blonde unlocked the front door and then let Amelia walk into the foyer without her as Amelia regained her balance and some independence.
"Nice place," Amelia complimented with her now raspy voice from the drinks and the vomiting, Arizona smiled slightly in response. "Can you show me where your bathroom is, I'm not sure how much longer I'll be able to feel this gross." The blonde took the younger woman's hand up the stairs and into her bedroom. "Woah, okay, I know I joked about you taking me home earlier but I meant it in a literal sense and not like I wanted to sleep with y-,"
"Oh, stop, I know what you meant, you asked me to show you to my bathroom, it's right through there," Arizona pointed in the direction of the door to the right of the queen sized bed, "The master bathroom. Did you really think I'd just let you jump into bed with me after the night you've had?", Arizona joked.
"Alright, okay, whatever make your fun now but you'll want me later," the brunette laughed at her own joke of a flirtation, and marched into the bathroom and closed the door quickly behind her. Amelia kicked off her shoes and pants and jacket and left them on the floor in front of the vanity. Amelia felt a dizzy spell come on as the bright lights of the vanity and the fact that she hadn't eaten in almost 18 hours hit her like a ton of bricks. She placed her hands on either side of the sink to steady herself, as she took deep breaths, quickly getting hit with feelings of guilt and self hatred for having broken her track of over 1,500 days of sobriety all because of her sister in law and supposed-to-be boyfriend.
Amelia's tears started to fall and she tried to muffle her sobs by using a washcloth, securing it over her mouth. She looked up to face herself in the mirror, sobs dissipating and tears slowing to halt, eyes locked on her own, deep blue orbs. The brunette put the washcloth down and stared at her reflection, pale skin, wavy hair and eyes full of regret.
