Chapter 6: Recovering

It was about four in the morning, Fox hadn't slept at all since the attack from Nightmare and his troops. He was worried about Mangle and what Nightmare had done to her, he was also trying to remember what he did to scare Nightmare so much. Ryu rolled over, "You up?" The kit glanced at his brother, "I never slept." Ryu nodded, "How cou-" SNOREEEEE, "ld he?!" The orange kit looked out of the small crib his was in towards the bed Fang currently occupied, "That kinda was part of the reason I'm awake." Ryu threw his sock at Fang jolting him awake, "WHO WHAT WHEN WHERE WHY HOW?!" Fox gave him a blank look, "You're snoring." Fang shrugged, "It is because I CAN'T BREATHE when i sleep!" The orange kit rolled his eyes and stared back up at the ceiling. Ryu sighed, "I WILL find a way to fix mama! Even if it means to kill millions." Fox glanced at his brother, "You said it yourself, there's no way to get back what has been lost." Ryu sighed, "True. I never said I can't repair her. But...I'm too weak." Fang walked over and picked up the kits, "How about we go see mama? I'm sure seeing her two happy baby boys will help her feel better." Ryu nodded, "Yes."

Meanwhile in the Shadow dimension

When Nightmare finally got back to the Shadow Dimension, he was panting heavily. He didn't notice it at first, but he was a little too late dodging Fox's last attack and the beam brushed his arm which left a painful burning sensation. "If I ever get a hold of that brat-" Spring tackled him into a hug, "I missed you!~" The bear cried out in pain, "My arm!" Spring winced and let go, "I'M SORRY!" Nightmare began panting again and gripped his arm, "It's fine. Just need the doctor." He stood up and began making is way towards the medical site. Spring whined and looked down at the results, "If only..." Marionette was surprised when Nightmare burst into his office, "My lord! What's happened!?" Nightmare chuckled, "N-nothing...anything wrong with Spring...?" The puppet walked up to his master, "He didn't tell you yet? Well, he should be the one to say." He looked down at the bear's arm, "What happened there?" Nightmare looked down, "Oh, that?" The puppet took the bear's arm, "Oh dear, was what I think caused this do this? Are we in danger now?" The bear nodded, "Do not tell anyone." Spring opened the door, wanting to say something, "..." he tried, and failed. The puppet looked at him, "Springtrap, I need to operate on our lord. I need you to leave." Nightmare growled, "He. Stays. If. He. Wants. To." The puppet nodded, "If you wish my lord, but it won't matter, I need to perform surgery to fix this wound. I'm gonna have to put you under." Nightmare beckoned Spring close, "Spring. Come here please." The rabbit walked closer as the puppet put an IV into the bear's arm, "Yes Nightmare?" Nightmare grabbed Spring's face and brought him into a kiss, breaking it minutes later, "I love you Spring." Just then the bear fell asleep due to the drugs Marionette gave him, "I love you too Nightmare." Marionette looked at the rabbit, "He's the father isn't he?" Spring nodded, "Yep." The puppet sighed, "Congratulations. Now would you mind leaving? I have to operate." Spring nodded leaving, "If you harm him. Consider your music box trash." The puppet chuckled, "Wouldn't dream of killing our lord."

Mangle felt groggy, she woke up just a half hour ago and felt a pinching sensation in her arm and her stomach was extremely itchy. She soon found out the pinching was an IV and the itching was due to stitches. She soon had a doctor explain her condition and was deeply saddened by the news. As she was served lunch though, a certain wolf walked into her room with two kits in tow. "Fang." She said weakly, the effects of the painkillers making her have a hard time concentrating, "You guys got out safely?" Fang nodded as Ryu took over the conversation by hugging his mother, "I sowwy mama." Mangle hugged back, "You don't have to be sorry for anything my sweet little kit, it wasn't your fault." "Yeah, it was mine." Fox said, looking out the window with a longing expression, "They wanted me, not you." Ryu had tears in his eyes, "No. They wanted both of us. I killed him." Fang walked over to Mangle's bedside and pet Ryu on the head, "It's neither of your faults, you guys are just kids." Fox sighed, "No, we're children of darkness. Brother is at least, I'm.....a freak." Ryu (somehow) slapped Fox, "You are NOT a freak!" Fox growled, "Of course I am! Just look how my life has been! I was supposed to be a child of darkness and I turned out to not even be like them! Then I find out I don't even have magic like yours! I am nothing like anyone! I don't even have a real family!" Ryu let it loose, "WE ARE YOUR FAMILY! WE WERE KIDNAPPED A LONG TIME AGO!" Fang and Mangle got confused, "What?" Ryu sighed, "Before we left. I checked the Archives. I checked mine and Fox's files. We were kidnapped from you over one hundred years ago." This just made them more confused, "How is that even possible? We never even had kids!" Ryu sighed again, "They erased EVERYTHING. Changed all outcomes and reset the world back to your grandparents birth. So that you wouldn't come looking for us." The orange kit sighed, "In simpler terms, they changed the past while altering the future." Fang nodded, "Ok, but that doesn't explain how you two are still just babies or how you two even exist." Ryu pulled out a orb, and it floated in the air, "This, is a ball that can keep anything in it. Paradox free." Mangle stared at it, "So they stole you and kept you in there as they reset the timeline." Ryu nodded, "Maybe...we can use some magic in THERE to fix you...but I haven't been able to open it."

That's when Mangle finally realized something, "Wait, d-does that mean I was just..." Fang then realized what she meant, "Y-you were pregnant with twins!" Ryu's ear twitched as baby-mode kicked in, "Wha?" Fox sighed, "She means that before Nightmare attacked she was going to have a baby. That was actually going to be us though. But that can't happen now. So a potential time paradox has been avoided" Ryu shook his head, "Yep. If those two Ryu and Fox's were born. Either a) we'd be deleted and this whole thing would keep happening, or b) the entire universe would collapse into a zillion shards of dark matter." Fang looked down at Mangle's wounded belly, "Well, it's horrible that this happened but at the same time a blessing." Mangle nodded, "Least we got to meet our kids...right? Also, you still owe me that twenty dollars." Fox then started walking out of the room, "We need to finish this." Ryu teleported right in front of him, "Wa-" But was cut off by certain family members, "Hey Maggie. Ye seem to have had be'er days." Mangle smiled, "Foxy, glad you made it." Chica smiled, "Sorry we're late. Mary wouldn't stop trying to eat her daddy." Fox looked up and saw the chick, "Hi Mary." Said chick was now squirming to get to her one true love, "F-Fwox!" She said. The orange kit chuckled, "Yes, I'm Fox." Chica and Foxy looked at Mary, then to Fox and finally to the window (for some inexplicable reason), "Uhh....her first word...is Fox...." Mangle giggled, "Looks like we know her favorite person on our side of the family." Chica closed the door as Foxy came in setting his daughter down, "Ok. Still need that explanation as-to-why those two are here." Ryu raised his paw, "I can do that for you Uncle Foxy!"

During this long explanation, a black bear wakes up from surgery

Nightmare woke up in a daze, her felt something covering his injured arm and heard someone snoring. Slowly sitting up, he saw a thick white bandage covering his arm and Spring sleeping in a chair. Spring's ears poked up, as Nightmare noticed the paper his lover was holding fell, "What's this..." he said. Spring heard this and quickly picked it up, "Nightmare! You're awake!" Nightmare smiled, "I promised I wouldn't die on you. Now. Hand me that paper please." Spring hid it behind his back and smiled nervously, "W-what paper?" Nightmare growled, "Paper. Now." The rabbit whimpered, "Please don't make me." Nightmare gave a stern look, "I am not asking as your lover. As your boss, I order you to give me that paper Springtrap." The rabbit sighed and handed him the paper, "I wanted to tell you at a better time." Nightmare read it over, "Dear Lord Nightmare. It seems that the patient you sent me, Springtrap Von Bunny, is pregnant. How? Simple, it is a not so common but still possible thing in males. We call this scientifically MPREG." (a/n not scientific.) Springtrap sniffled, "I-I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to let it happen!" Nightmare growled, "Don't be sorry! This is an amazing birthday gift." The rabbit looked up at him with tear filled eyes, "W-what?" Nightmare smiled warmly, "It's my birthday today. Thanks for the amazing gift." Springtrap sniffled, "You're not mad?" Nightmare chuckled heartily, "Why? This is an amazing gift. Besides, my fault for not using protection." The rabbit hugged the black bear, being careful of his arm, "I love you so much!" Nightmare smiled, "Let's go to m...our. Room, just to cuddle. Also, I'm delaying the attack till the baby is born." Spring nodded, "I would love to."
