Marinette woke up this morning feeling better than she had ever felt before. And maybe that had to do with the fact that her aunt Katherine invited her to Miami, Florida for the whole summer. It was always a dream of Marinette's to visit the states. The warm sandy beaches seemed to drag her in. What would the water feel like on her skin? She wondered that and many other things as she entered the busy airport.

After going through the whole sha bang of metal detectors and pat downs, which were, in her words, excessive, Marinette found a seat in the waiting area till her plane was ready. She played mindlessly on her phone for a while before checking out the flight scheduling board. Most of the flights were to southern parts of Europe all the way to Asia. She noticed only two planes were heading to the United States though.

Almost an hour later, she was informed that it was time to board. Her aunt was a fairly rich women, so Marinette was placed in first class. First class consisted of a bed/chair(imma call it a bair), desk/table(dable), and, to top it off, lots of leg room. The teenager was grateful to her aunt Kathy, she always made Marinette feel special. And although she won't admit it, Marinette is Aunt K's favorite niece.

Just as the bluenette had gotten comfy, the door to first class swung open revealing a handsome blonde, greened eye young man. Marinette turned around to get a better look at her room buddy, since they would be the only two in first class. She gasped when she realized who exactly the boy was.

Adrien Agreste, her middle school crush.

Adrien dropped his bag at the door and rushed over to the shocked Marinette. He wrapped his arms tightly around her tiny frame. She was lifted off the ground for a second before he placed her back down. "Mari, you have no idea how glad I am to see you!" He smiled genuinely.

Marinette pondered on his words for a bit. Glad to see her? He was glad to her! And his mood is so cheerful. Almost like a kitten discovering a ball of yarn for the first time. She snapped back to reality. "Y-yeah, m-me too!" Her attempt at talking normal around him had failed. She mentally face-palmed and cursed under her breath.

Adrien went back for his things and got comfy as well. "So, what brings you to the U.S. princess?" He sat down on the bair with both elbows on the dable, his fists propping up his chin.

Marinette blushed at the pet name. "My aunt has invited me to stay at her mansion in Miami, Florida--wait does that mean--your going to Florida too!?"  Her eyes widened.

The blonde yawned and fell back onto his bair. "Mhm. I have a big summer photoshoot to do. After that's over I'm heading to Washington for a historical shoot. The list go's on." He let out a elongated sigh that sent shivers down Marinette's spine.

"So, your not staying?" She asked in a less enthusiastic tone.

Adrien sensed the disappointment in her voice and smiled. "No. Howeverrrr, I am aloud to bring a plus one on all my trips, that is if you'd go with me." He sat up and looked at Marinette with pleading eyes.

Her heart was beating a million times a minute. She was almost afraid he could hear it. Adrien, the love of her life, had practically invited her to spend the whole summer together! But, she couldn't, her aunt would be so disappointed. And the kitten eyes he was giving her didn't make the decision any easier. "Adrien.....I wish I could-really I do. It's just......my aunt would be so sad if I chose you over her. I really shouldn't."

"Oh, Okay then. It was a stupid idea anyway." He turned to look out the window so she wouldn't see his oncoming tears. He really did want a friend to be at his side. It's been the same way every summer since his mother died. His dad would ship him off on modeling tours so he wouldn't have to spend time with his only child.

Marinette cringed at his sudden change in mood. She could practically see the cloud of despair floating atop his head. She sighed, walked over to his bair, and sat beside him, surprising the both of them. "Look, Adrien, I didn't say I couldn't go with you. All I said was that I shouldn't. Aunt Kathy will be furious, but she'll understand. And she'll probably make me bribe her to let me go. So, win-win I guess." She laughed.

Adrien's smile was as big as the Cheshire Cat's. He scooped Marinette up bridal style and swirled her around the small room. "Oh thank you so much! I love you! I love you! I love you!" He kissed her cheek and then set her down on his bair.

She blushed furiously. "Y-you're w-welcome."

Adrien wasn't quite done thanking her just yet, but he'd save that gift for later. "Really Mar, just thank you."

Marinette smiled sweetly and nodded at him. "Of course."
