That I am me,

That I do not want to be
A clone, another carbon copy
Like you are you, I am me.
Why is it so hard to see,
That I do not stop you
From being you,
even if I do not understand you.
For I see that you are happy,
And thus I leave you be.
Why is it so hard to see,
That this hatred is not good,
That you are stopping me
From being me, I need to love
Whoever I love, and I am me.
Why is it so hard to see
That hatred is against your God,
Your God wants love and peace.
Your God wants me to be me.
Your God wants me to be.
Your God wants you to see.
Why is it so hard to see,
That I may not think like you,
That I may not be like you,
But that I am me,
And I am happy to be me.
So let and leave me be.
