I woke up with a smile on my face, today is my birthday and I'm turning 26. I looked to my left and saw my husband Brian sound asleep. I gave him a kiss on the cheek, pulled the covers over my body and walked to the bathroom. I put on my shower cap and took a long warm shower. after that I put on my body butter and did my daily hygiene. I did my makeup and curled my hair to the side. Then I walked to my closet picking out my burgundy blouse, black leather pants with my gold belt, and my black gold shoes to match. I looked into my full body mirror.

"Happy Birthday to me." I smiled at myself as I twirled. Then the phone ring, I went to my nightstand and answered. "Hello ?"

"Happy Birthday to you, happy birthday to Sade. Happy Birthday to youuuu." I heard Monica sing loudly.

I giggled. "Thank you Monica and you hit that high note too."

"Girl don't play with me, you know I can't sing." She laughed along with me.

"Hey at least you said it."

"You on your way to work ?" She asked.

"Yeah, I'll be there."

"Alright, I'll see you then."

"Okay, bye." I hung up. I walked downstairs to the kitchen and grabbed me a banana. Moments later I saw Brian walking down the stairs.

"Good morning baby." He kissed me on the cheek then went into the refrigerator.

I smiled. "Good morning, but umm baby don't you wanna say something else to me." I raised an eyebrow at him.

He turned and looked at me up and down. "Yeah.." I grinned. "You look very nice." He winked at me.

My smiled dropped. "Oh, thanks." I forced a smile.

"Well baby, I gotta go to work." He pecked my lips. "Have a great day." Then he walked out the house.

I rolled my eyes. "Yeah you too." I mumbled.

I can't believe he forgot my birthday, again...

I walked through the double doors at my job and strutted down the lobby. I walked into my office, put my stuff on my desk and sat down. I heard a knock on the door and saw my assistant Evelyn.

"May I come in ?" She asked.

I looked up. "Sure, come in."

She walked up to my desk with these bouquet of red roses. "Someone send these for you." She smiled as she placed them on my desk.

I stood up and stare at the roses.. "Oh my god these are beautiful." I sniffed them, smelling the sweet aroma. "Who sent these ?" I asked, not taking my eyes off them.

She shrugged her shoulders. "I don't know, but there's a card." With that she turned around and left. I took out the card and read it.

'Happy Birthday Beautiful One, Another Day Of Your Beauty Is A Blessing.... Sincerely, Anonymous'

I blush at the beautiful words of the card. Only one that could have done this for me.

"Aww, Brian I forgive you honey." I smiled to myself. I gotta show Monica. So I went across the hall to her office.
