"Are you ready ?" That question echoed in my head, today was the day for my divorce. I haven't seen Brian in weeks and now I have to face him again. I briefly looked at Prince to see him giving me a sincere look. I gave him a warm smile. "Yes... Let's get this over with." Prince and I walked hand and hand into the court room. It was so quite that you can hear a pen drop. I looked to my left and saw Brian and his lawyer with his 'Fiancé' on his side.
I guess Prince noticed that I was glaring at him so, he turned me towards him. "Hey look at me." He tilted my chin making me look into his honey eyes. "Don't worry about it him alright, just do what you gotta do with no drama Sade." I rolled my eyes. "No drama Sade." He said with a deeper, demanding voice.
I sucked my teeth in annoyance. "Okay, okay fine." I pecked his lips, softly.
He kissed back. "That's my girl, now go on I'll be over here at your side." He winked, I watched as he walked over to the other side of the court room and sat down in the seats. I turned around and took a deep breath, walking to my seat. I've noticed that my lawyer, Derrick is not here yet. I looked at my wrist watch for the time, he has exactly fifteen seconds to get here before we start. Suddenly I heard the doors open, I looked over my shoulder to see my lawyer rushing over to my side.

Derrick took a deep sigh. "Ms. Campbell I'm so sorry I'm late. I had to take a cab here, was terrible I tell yah." He patted my back as I gave him a side.
I pulled away from the hug. "It's alright I'm just glad your here, I made a few changed about my decision." I mentioned.
"You still want to get divorced right ?" He cocked an eyebrow at me.
I put my hand over my chest, laughing. "Oh yeah that's not changing." He laughed along with me. "I just don't want money from him, I just want to keep my car and house. I don't need his money, everything else he can have it." I clarified for him, I made that decision for myself because I don't to give Brian another reason to try to come back to my like if I have half him riches, I clearly don't need nothing from him.
Derrick slowly nod in understanding. "Alright Ms. Campbell, if that's what you want I'll take care of that for you." He smiled he grabbed my hand, rubbing it with his thumb. I squealed with happiness.
"All rise." The Bailiff announced as the court quiet down, waiting for everyone except the judge to stand. "The Department One of Divorce Court is now in session. Judge Marshal presiding, please take a seat." We all sat back down in our seat, waiting for the judge.
