Chapter 9

Dad is getting ready to leave. I couldn't help but to break down crying. I've always been a daddy's little girl, and to watch him leave after this weekend, it hurts. We had so much fun and we had just been together for a short time, now he has to leave. "Don't worry sweetheart, I'll be back. This is just a little break. I will come here once a month. But I do need to get home so I can take care of some business. I need to go see Brentin and before I do that I have to make a decision." He said.

"What kind of business with Brentin? You're not going to tell him where I am are you?" I asked him.

"Why would I tell him where you are? He had his chance with you and he blew it. No this business is purely alpha business. It's time that I made him see his mistakes. Even though I can pretty much tell he already sees his mistakes. But I need to also decide whether or not to keep my treaty with his pack. Since you are no longer part of his pack, I see no reason to." He said.

"Alright dad, just don't let anything slip out. I know how you get when you get angry. He can't know that I'm pregnant. He also can't know where I am or how I am doing." I told him.

"I know sweetheart. Now, I gotta go, my flight leaves in 2 hours. I love you and will see you in a month." He said.

"I love you too dad. Be careful and see you in a month." I told him. He then got in the car he drove, seeing how the other pack members were staying here and just bought the cars they drove. He drove away from the pack house and then he was gone. "Guys, how about we learn more about our newest pack members?" I asked my pack.

"Sure. Why don't we have take out tonight so that we can hang out and relax?" Tommy asked.

"What do the rest of you think?" I asked.

"Sounds like a great idea. So what are we gonna have? Pizza? Chinese? Or what?" Destiny asked.

"Let's take a vote. We need at least 9 people to vote for one thing. Ok?" I asked. I watched everyone nod. "Ok. Who's up for pizza?" I asked. 7 people raised their hands. "Alright. Who wants Chinese?" I asked. The other 8 raised their hand. Leaving me to either tie it up or go with the other group. But I really want pizza. "Ok. How about we do both? I really want pizza and that makes the vote tied. So we will order Chinese for the ones who want Chinese and pizza for the rest of us. Who wants to go get the Chinese?" I ask.

"I will." Marty said.

"Alright. Who wants to go get the pizza?" I asked.

"I will." A new pack member, Quan answered.

"Ok. Take everyone's order and write it down. I want pepperoni and mushrooms on my pizza." I said. Then I went to my office to add the money my dad had given us to our safe.

An hour later, Marty and Quan was back with the food. So we all sat down to eat and getting to know each other better. We were having a good time, then one of the new pack members, Lydia, asked, "Why did you move over here? Last I heard you were an alpha's mate. What happened?"

"Well, I caught him cheating on me. I resigned as the luna and flew here." I answered. She looked mad.

"What do you mean he cheated on you? Ain't you mated? Did he mark you? Mate you?" She asked.

"We were mated. No he never marked me. But he didn't have anything against sleeping with me." I answered.

"So that's why you don't want him to know you're pregnant?" She asked.
