Your Mistake, My Revenge

Chapter 37

Kip's POV
I sat with Aaryana every day for the past 3 1/2 weeks. Ever since I found out she was in a coma, thanks to Brentin letting me know. Since that day, I blame myself. If I had been with her instead of chasing an asshole who claims to be my brother, she wouldn't be where she is now. I could have protected her. But, because I wasn't around to protect her, she now lays in a coma.
You're probably wondering where I was, right? Well, I was following a lead on someone who was trying to sabotage our packs. My old friend, Ranger had told me where the guy was hiding out. So I went to find him.

Flashback
I followed the unknown man. An old friend had given me his whereabouts and said he was putting the pack in harms way. As I followed him, he suddenly stopped.
"You can come out. I know you're following me." The guy said. So I stepped out and walked to him, keeping a 10 foot distance between us.
"Who are you? Why are you putting my pack in danger?" I growled.
"I'm Sharis. First of all, it's not your pack. Second of all, I want revenge." He sneered.
"Revenge for what?" I demanded.
"Well, unlike you, my father...or should I say our father, gave me up for adoption once he met your mother. I want to destroy you, your other brother, mother and father." He snarled. "Oh let me guess, daddy dearest never told you, did he?"
"Why would he? Him and my mother gave me up as well. But in the end I have to thank them because I found my mate. But why would you put my mate and her pack in danger?" I demanded.
"I'm not after your mate or her pack. I'm just after you and your immediate family. Also, my mate rejected me for YOU!" He growled. Next thing I know, he lunged forward. His fist connecting with my throat before he roundhouse kicked me, knocking me out.
End flashback

So that's where I was. When I came to I had 50 texts telling me about Aaryana, so I called Brentin and told him to look for Sharis. From that day on Brentin and I kept in touch. Which reminds me, he's supposed to be here soon.

Brentin's POV
This past month has been hell. Kip called me to tell me about some guy named Sharis, claiming to be our brother. I had a friend of mine follow him and befriend him. He reports to me everyday. Let me just say, he's found out a lot of information. I have to tell Kip the news.
Raea was tortured and eventually died. We did a lot of shit to her, but no matter what, I didn't have the heart to let someone rape her. I'm not that kind of monster. I did let Kip know about that, then he invited me over so I could tell him about Sharis and see Aaryana.
After 45 minutes, I finally arrived at Aaryana's hospital room. Kip was sitting with her, of course. When I stepped in, his head snapped up. He looked torn.
"How is she?" I asked.
"They say she should wake up any day now." He said looking hopeful, but I could see the sadness in his eyes. "She's been showing signs of improvement. Her brainwaves are getting stronger each day, as is her wolf."
"Well, do you want to come with me for a few minutes?" I asked. He nodded, kissed her forehead and followed me out of the room.
"Well what did you find out about him?" He demanded.
"He is our brother, unfortunately. Dad's ex had him the day before dad found mom. He had him adopted so mom wouldn't know. He wants revenge, just like you did. He wants to kill mom, which I don't blame him. Also Raea was his mate." I told him.
"Raea never mentioned him to me. I wondered what he meant when he said his mate chose me." He deadpanned.
"I guess she wanted you because you were of higher rank." I explained.
"Where's Raea's body?" He asked.
"Burned. She was mutilated so badly you couldn't recognize her. Aaryana's dad was there and witnessed it." He nodded then went back to her door. Before he went in he looked at me.
"You know I won't give her up without a fight, right?" He asked. I nodded.
"I know. And as much as I hate to admit it, you're better for her. But we can't make that choice for her. That's up to her and her wolf." I told him.

Aaryana's POV
"You know I wont give her up without a fight, right?" I heard a guy say. Determination lining his voice.
"I know. And as much as I hate to admit it, you're better for her. But we can't make that choice for her. That's up to her and her wolf." I heard another guy say, sadness coating his words.
I tried to open my eyes but they were too heavy. So I focused on moving one finger at a time, in hopes that someone would notice.
"Did you see that?" Man 1 asked.
"See what?" Man 2 asked.
"Her finger moved. Watch!" He demanded.
I focused on moving my finger again. "Tell me you seen that. Tell me I'm not dreaming." Man 1 said.
"I seen it. I'm gonna get the doctor. See if she will open her eyes." Man 2 demanded. I then focused on opening my eyes. After 5 minutes, I finally got them opened. Just as the doctor walked in.
"Welcome back Aaryana." He said smiling. "You gave us all quite the scare. You were out for a while."
I looked at him and the other guys. "Who are you people?" I asked. They all looked surprised.
"You don't remember us?" The doctor asked. I shook my head. "Do you remember anything?"
"I have 3 kids, run my own pack. Don't know about my mate yet." I answered truthfully. The 2 guys were in shock then started growling.
"GET OUT!!!!" Shouted the doctor. "We knew this could happen, go calm yourselves down. You, Alpha, we will work with daily to see if you remember anything new." Then he walked out.
