(Lucifer's POV)

I wake up to my alarm playing Highway to Hell by AC/DC. I reluctantly roll out of bed and get ready for hell- I mean school. I hope today goes good and nobody talks to me. I put on a pair of jeans with a white tee shirt and my black hoodie. I walk downstairs and get an apple from the table. Michael, my older brother, was sitting there.

"Have a good day Luce." He says without looking up from his newspaper.

"Thanks Mikey." I start my 20 minute walk to the high school. On the way there, I see Sam Winchester on his motorcycle. He sees me and stops. Oh fuck he's gonna come beat me up.

He comes up to me, "Hey do you want a ride? We go to the same school." He says. I stand there surprised until he says, "I'm not gonna hurt you, I'm just trying to be nice."

"Are you sure you want to give me a ride?" I say, pointing at myself.

"Yeah unless you don't want me to."

"Thank you, but I don't want to hurt your reputation."

"I don't care about that at all, besides this," he motions to himself, "isn't the real me, it's just what people want me to be." He starts his motorcycle. "You coming?"

"Yeah." I quickly get on after him and he hands me a helmet that I hadn't noticed before. I put it on and he tells me to hold on. We speed off and get to the school in five minutes, that would've taken me fifteen if I had walked.

"You alright?" He asks me as he gets off.

"Yeah I'm just dizzy." I say quickly as I try to get off after him.

"Woah careful, don't hurt yourself," he says as I nearly fall after I manage to get off. "Here let me help you walk until you're not dizzy."

"Okay." We start walking. "Why did you give me a ride today?"

"I wanted to find a way for us to talk."

"Why?"

He shrugs his shoulders. "I thought maybe we could be friends."

"Do you know who I am?" I ask still confused.

He rubs the back of his neck while looking at the ground. "Yeah, you're Lucifer Morning-Star, the smartest guy in school."

I look at him in the eye. "I know why you want to be friends now, you want me to do your work for you. I knew nobody would want to be friends with me because of who I am."

"Lucifer, that's not what I want," he says in a hurt voice, "I already graduated from high school anyway. I just want to be friends, why is that so hard for you to understand?"

I look at him surprised. "What do you mean, you've already graduated high school?" I glance at my shoes and back at Sam. "Plus, I've never really had friends and anyone that has pretended they were only did it so I could do their work for them."

"I've never understood why some people make others do their work. Why would you waste someone's time and energy for a grade that isn't even truly yours?"

"How should I know? One time I asked someone why they would even come to school and I had a black eye and a fractured wrist the next day."

"Oh, I'm sorry."

"It's fine, I learned a couple of things from that. That question is part of the reason why Alistar treats me so badly. If I had never asked him that, all I would get from him is assignments and shoves every once in a while."

"Seriously?"

"Yeah, I mean he used to have a crush on me in middle school so I kind of became friends with him." I shrug. "Then, all he wanted was to be popular, so he asked me to help him with his work after school and convinced everyone that he hated me in school."
