Unexpected (Samifer)

"I love you Sam Winchester."

(Lucifer's POV)

Damn, this is really stressful. I never knew how much effort it took to be strong for your whole family. Sam says he'll be there for me no matter what, but what if I can't get emancipated and have to move away? What of he forgets about me and meets someone else? I wish we could all just stay here, we're living just fine, and we haven't had anyone older than me here since Janet came by two weeks ago. Anna, Raphael, and I have been paying the bills for the past 6 months anyway. I don't understand why nobody recognises that other than us and Sam. I wonder how he's doing, we haven't talked since the meeting and I'm getting anxious. I don't know if I should call him or not. Fuck it.

"Hello?" I hear Sam's tired voice on the phone.

"I-I'm sorry, did I wake you up?" I ask worriedly.

"Yeah you did, but don't worry, I always have time for you." He answers back.

I don't deserve him, he's so sweet. Why is he even helping me? "Why?"

"Because I love you Lucifer. Now what did you want to talk about?"

"W-what?" I squeak. Did he just say he loves me?

"I said I love you, you don't have to say it back. Now what did you want to talk about?"

I clear my throat. "I um, I just wanted to hear your voice and know how you're doing, we haven't been talking that much lately."

"Yeah, sorry about that, I've been working double shifts the last couple of days. I've had to fill in for other people and I have a chance at getting promoted, but I don't think I'm gonna take it, I'll work more and I don't want to miss out on things. Anyway, how are you? I miss you." He says and my heart melts. Why does he have to be so damn adorable?

"I'm alright, just trying to do all of the things Janet told us about. I miss you too, when's your next day off?" I reply. Hopefully it's soon, I want to see him as soon as possible, not that I'm clingy or anything.

"Actually, I'm off today and tomorrow, so maybe I can visit you?" He asks shyly.

"Yeah, but I though you were sleeping?"

"I can sleep when I'm dead, I wanna see you."

I chuckle. "Okay, but I have to warn you, my brothers are running around like crazy."

"It's okay, I can handle it. I'll see you in a bit." We hang up and I begin to wait.

Castiel and Gabriel run into the room. "Gabe stop! Give it back!" Castiel yells and starts crying. "I just want Bee back." He runs up to me and latches onto my leg. "Luci, tell him to give it back!" He points at Gabriel and cries harder.

"I'm sorry Cassie, I didn't mean it! Here, you can have Bee." He hugs Castiel and runs out. Once he does, Castiel lets go of my leg and looks at me smugly.

"Works every single time." He laughs and I give him a high five.

"I've taught you well, just don't use that against me."
