Unexpected (Samifer)

Happy Lucifer

(Lucifer's POV)

Time has gone by and I haven't had a meeting with Janet for a couple of months. I've tried contacting her, but she hasn't answered me at all. I told Sam and he suggested that we go to her office and talk to her.

"What do you think she'll say? What if she doesn't want to help me anymore? This can't be happening right now, Sam, not after the incident at the movie theater!" I ramble frantically.

Sam gently grabs my hand. "Everything will be fine. Don't worry so much Lucifer, I'm sure she's just been busy getting information for your case." He calmly replies.

I sighed deeply. "Hopefully you're right, I don't want anything bad to happen, we've had enough of that lately. I'm really worried about what she'll say."

"Babe relax, I'm sure everything will be fine. Even if things go badly, I'm here to help you with this."

He's right, everything will be fine. I'm just overreacting. "I'm sorry Sam. I really shouldn't be worrying you with all of this. I think I'm going to go home early today, and I'll see you at school tomorrow." I stand up and he follows.

"Oh, um, okay then. You really shouldn't have to feel bad about worrying me, I like having someone else to worry about." He pulls me into a tight hug. "You make me feel like this is who I'm supposed to be, the one that worries about people. Especially you, Lucifer. I hope you feel better tomorrow."

"Thank you so much Sam. You are one of the few people that actually care. Don't worry yourself so much that you get sick, I'm going to be fine, remember?"

*** (The next day) ***

I go through my whole morning routine uneventfully. As I'm walking downstaits, I look around the walls. There aren't any pictures of any of us.. "Good morning everyone. I hope you all slept well. Let's try to make this a good day for everyone, okay?"

I received a chorus of "yes."

Anna bounced over to me. "What's got you in such a good mood?"

"I've decided that I want to change things around here. Do you want to come with Sam and I to see my/our caseworker?"

She quickly blinks a few times and opens her mouth, only to close it right after. "I-I, um, sure. That sounds great. When?"

"A few days, maybe a week or two. I'm going to schedule another appointment with her. I can fill you in about what we've been discussing and also what I think we should do. You don't have to agree with me or us on anything and can tell us what you think about anything and everything."

She hugs me tightly. "Thank you Luci, now let's go to school." She hugs me again and leads the way to the car.

We get to the school and it's hard to believe that I have two years left here. The school year is coming to an end and with it, a new beginning.

"Hey Lucifer! You're looking optimistic today. Wanna tell me what good deeds you're going to do?"

"Sam, I'm going to fix my family like it was never broken and you're going to help along with Anna."

Change. It's a wonderful thing sometimes. This is definitely one of them...
