The small group entered another room minutes later that had a thick steel set of doors. "Hey Dean lock those doors too. We need to stall them as long as we can." Caleb said looking behind him. Dean shut the doors to the room they had entered and locked them. "Maybe we should barricade them." Flint suggested picking up the end of a steel table. Dean helped him move it to the doors.

Caleb looked around for anything useful and spotted a door marked Lounge. He walked over and kicked the door open going inside. The room was lit with red emergency lighting revealing a few couches and some chairs surrounding a coffee table. Caleb stumbled over to the nearest couch and set Rose down. He slipped a pillow under her head and checked her pulse. A faint but steady beat responded.

Caleb smiled with relief and turned away looking for anything he could use in the room. Only furniture seemed to be in there besides a water dispenser. Caleb grabbed a cone and filled it up with water. He carried it over to Rose and lifted her head. Caleb pressed the paper cone to her lips and made sure she swallowed before letting her drain it. He smiled and lay her head back on the pillow. "You're going to be okay Rose." He whispered softly.

Caleb threw the cone to the side and got up checking for anything he might have missed. Finding nothing he moved on to the next room and chuckled reading the label. "Oh this is gonna be just beautiful." He murmured walking into the room.
It was a kitchen, in the corner was a fridge. By it was a counter with various tools for food prep spread along the top.

But it was something on the counter that caught his eye. Caleb walked over to the counter pulled a toaster up and yanked the plug away from the wall.  He grinned and started to carry it out of the kitchen but stopped. Caleb reached over and picked up an apple that didn't look too bad hoping Rose wouldn't mind it and slipped it into a shirt pocket. Then carrying his findings, he left the kitchen.

Dean was still barricading the door with more tables and other items lying around the large room. Dean turned and gave a small wave. "Hey Cal did you find anything?" He asked. Caleb grinned and held up the toaster. "I sure did." He said. Dean frowned. "Cal we're trying not to die. Now is not really the time to make toast!" Dean exclaimed. Caleb held up a hand and set the toaster on a table.

Caleb took off his bag and opened the pocket for his ammo clips. He was glad that Serge had said to keep the extra ammunition as he pulled out a few clips of assault rifle bullets. Dean moved up beside him watching him work. "So you're not making toast." Dean commented rubbing his chin. Caleb smiled and shook his head slipping the bullets from their clips. "Not quite." He said.

Flint came from across the large room and grunted as he sat on the table's edge. "Find anything?" Caleb asked as he worked on removing more bullets from their ammo clips. Flint nodded. "Yeah I found another set of doors that led to more hallways. I didn't go too far though. I don't know if any lead to outside." He said folding his arms. "Watcha making?" He asked noticing the toaster.

Caleb finished unclipping the bullets and slipped them into the toaster. "Just a little breakfast for our new friends." He replied with a smile. Dean and Flint chuckled slightly at the joke. "Plenty of iron in there for sure." Dean snorted gripping his shoulder. Caleb laughed too. "Sure is. Hope they like it."

Caleb carried the toaster to the makeshift barrier his friends had made and plugged in the toaster, setting it on the ground beneath another table. He switched the timer to the max time and heat and stood back up. "If either of you hear noises. Press the button." He commanded. Flint and Dean nodded slowly.

"How's the girl doing?" Flint asked as Caleb led them into the lounge. "Yeah and who is she anyway?" Dean added his question in. Caleb shrugged and entered the room first. "Her name's Rose. And she's still alive. Probably drastically malnourished and dehydrated though. Not to mention in a state of shock." He explained and sat beside her. Dean sat in a nearby chair and Flint preferring to stand leaned against a wall by the doorway.
