Test Subject 24601

Test Log 14 -Discontinued-

The test subject 24601 has showed signs of continued growth in battle prowess and overall performance from the very first test. Today's test was no exception to the pattern he has thus far followed. No obstacles have managed to halt him in his progression. Or so we thought.

Test 14 was a performance based test where the subject is left in extreme conditions. They are left with one day's ration of food, two days ration of water, a single firearm of their choice, and strict orders to only communicate with command when absolutely necessary.

The test subject was given his first set of orders and they were followed without question. His objective was to capture a satellite base from galactic terrorists. Once his objective was met, he was to contact command immediately. Subject 24601 was successful in his objective.

What the subject was not aware of was that the mission was no simulation. The terrorists were real, the threat was real. We kept him ignorant of the situation to see how he would perform and we were not disappointed. In fact, he exceeded our expectations dramatically. So much in doing so we had no choice but to terminate further testing.

The situation arose where subject 24601 discovered the terrorists held civilian captives hostage. When questioning Command for more intell the answers did not satisfy him. They ordered him to disengage from the area and to focus on the mission.

The subject did not follow his orders. Breaking all codes of conduct, he charged in to save the lives of the captives risking the whole entire opperation. It wasn't like the subject to impulsively make his decisions, but in this case he did. The decision sadly sealed his fate.

Subject 24601 did in fact manage to overpower the terrorists guarding the captives without raising any alarms. No casualties were marked or noted among hostiles or civilians. It was a remarkable feet that normally under other circumstances would have earned the subject medal of bravery. The subject then proceeded to finish out his mission without any further complications.

Despite the subject's accomplishments, we were forced to terminate his continuation in the program. The final decision concluded that the cause was to be due to reckless behavior and the disobeying of direct orders not to interfere with civilian lives at risk. The decision was unanimous and the subject was cut from testing.

Once the subject was alerted he had failed the test, he showed no signs of aggression toward his superiors. His emotional, physical, and mental health on the other hand started to diminish. Doctors questioned why the subject fell into this sort of behaviour. No one was able to discern why.

Subject 24601 has been posted on the planet Sanzaar in the care of Sergeant Newman. An old friend of Dr. Halsey. The Sergeant is to report back any behavioral changes in the subject until further notice.
