I look at my old watch that I kept from my house. "Hopper it's time! Let's go!" Ashley said loudly. Hopper comes out of the bathroom. We race out the door to what awaits us.
"Is this the place? Awfully old." Ashley couldn't believe her eyes. She was to work here. A old lady popped out the cashier, and gave her customer there money. We was to work at a drug store. It was the only place that wanted to hire us youngsters. I walk inside with Hopper next to me. "Hello miss! We are to start working here by today!" Hopper said loudly. For me it was the first time I heard him speak as loud as he was doing. The lady walks up to us. Looking at her she is quite ugly, but of course no one would say that to her in person. She seemed like a nice old lady. "You two can work in the back until I think you can work up here." The lady said with her extra loud voice. Hopper skipped to the back of the store. Ashley couldn't help but wonder if it was safe to work here, but she needs the money, so she heads to the back.
"Wow that's a lot of boxes! And we have to put all of them away by are selfs!" Ashley was shocked. She turns to look at Hopper smiling at her. "Obviously it seems that you've never worked a day in your life. Though if we work together we can finish this all in no time!" Hopper knew more about work, unlike Ashley. Hopper walks up to the boxes, puts his hand under the box, and pushes with back up with his legs. He then carries them away to where the lady wanted them. Ashley watched Hopper until she saw that she was supposed to be working too. Ashley puts her hands under the box. Seems heavy. She lift with all she had. But could only go so much above the ground. Ashley quickly ran to the area where Hopper put his boxes. Though around when Ashley was done ,Hopper has already done the rest.
"So are we done?" Ashley said with a grin. Hopper looked at her, and starts laughing. "What's wrong! Do you want me to call 911! Are you okay?" Ashley was very much worried. Hopper quit laughing, and smiles. "I'm sorry Tyler! It's just, it's just. Well. You barely worked and you ask if we're done!" Hopper starts laughing again. It seems like he can't stop. Ashley starts to giggle, but then she starts to laugh along with Hopper.
The lady comes in the back. She looks at the work we have done. "Good job! But I can hear your laughter way in the front of the store, and thank to that it brought me more customers. I don't know why you two are laughing, but you can leave for today. Be sure to come back tomorrow! Here's your money for today." The old lady hands us both thirty two dollars. Hopper and Ashley left the store, and headed home to rest for the day.
