I was walking back to the apartment with a huge smile on my face, I took out my phone and called Adrian asking him what he was up to.
Adrian: I was worried about you, where were you?
I didn't want to talk about what happened with him because I knew that things would start getting weird between us and this is the last thing I want to happen.
Lauren: I was just....
My brain blocked, I couldn't think of anything else then what happened at the bar and just the thought of it made me want to throw up.
Adrian: Are you alright?
Lauren: Yea.
He stayed silent for a while.
Adrian: Your not... I'll be here in 5 minute.
Lauren: No! I'll come at your dorm.
Adrian: Ok.
He hung up. I took a deep breath before walking in the dorms direction. On my way I texted Aaron telling him that i'll be back later.
I looked at his door for a moment, I don't know why but I was really nervous. I knocked and waited for an answer.
-Hey...
-H-hey...
I then remember what Connor and Crash said about him... I wanted to trust Adrian so bad but I felt like there was something that he was hiding form me. I entered his rom which was as clean as usual. He sat on his bed and waited for me to sit next to him, when I did he put his hand on my knee. His soft touch transformed into fear, I looked at him with panicked eyes, he removed his hand wondering what was going on.
-Are you okay?
-Yes... I...
-Do you want some water?
-Yes... please.
He left the room to go get some water. I looked around the room and started to look in the drawers for something I didn't knew. It was stronger then me, I looked in each drawer.
-Hey, I got-
I looked back at him, my hands were shaking as I was holding a bag with weird pills in it.
-What is this?
His face became red, he started to sweat and shake.
-It's for... headaches.
He was lying... I felt something weird in my stomach.
-Give me the water...
-W-what?
-I have a headache, i'll take one.
I knew that they weren't for headaches but I wanted to see how far he would go. He walked in my direction and gave me the water bottle. I opened the bag slowly and took two pills in my hand, hoping he would stop me. I looked at him, he looked stressed and scared. I took both at the same time and drank half of the water. Tears rolling down my cheeks.
-I hate you.
I said before leaving the room as fast as I could. I took the pills out of my mouth, I was never going to really take them but he was ready for me to drugged myself without knowing.
-Lauren, wait!
He grabbed my arm, I turned around and slapped him across the face. He looked at me surprised and confused.
-You lied to me!
-I'm sorry... but...
-Shut up!
I looked at him with disgust.
-Don't try to contact me anymore.
I walked away as he stood in the hallway, confused. I ran outside until I was back at Aaron's apartment.
-The kitty cat is back.
I whipped my tears and looked over at Crash, his smirk dispaeared as soon as he saw my eyes. I sat on my bed with my face in my hands.
-What's wrong sweetie?
I couldn't talk, he sat next to me.
-Tell me... please...
-About Adrian... you knew he took drugs?
-No... but I know he sells them.
My eyes widen and I looked over at Crash.
-You didn't know?
I shook my head in a negative response.
-How do you know?
-He used to work for me...
I whipped my cheeks... as more tears rolled down my face. I hated myself for trusting someone like that...
-When is Aaron coming back?
-Tomorrow morning, he has things to take care of at the bar.
I put my face back in my hands. After a moment I told Crash everything that happened... he was so different then usually.
-Stay here, i'll be back in about ten minutes.
He left the apartment running. I looked over at my phone to see all the messages that Adrian sent me. I closed my phone and looked at the ceiling. I was sure that my thoughts would be stuck on Adrian but I don't know why they kept ending with Connor. I heard the door open and Crash walking in my direction.
-Here.
He put a box on the bed, I sat and opened it to see donuts. I smiled at him and ate all of them. We talked for most of the night and I never thought I would say that one day but I actually enjoyed talking to him.
I opened my eyes with no memory when I closed them. I looked over at my phone to see that it was now 1 p.m. I sat on my bed for a moment before smelling something from the kitchen. I got up and looked in the kitchen.
-Aaron!
He looked at me with a huge smile and I jumped in his arms.
-Want some bacon?
-YAAS!
He laughed and gave me a plate full of bacon.
-Where is Crash?
-Sleeping in my room, he spent most of the night looking after you.
My eyes widen and I almost chocked, I smiled and kept eating. I know when I met Aaron that I didn't knew my feelings for him but since he came to see me at the hospital... I know that he is like a brother to me.
