Logan
After that weird little incident at lunch, the day soon passed by. I didn't look into too much of what Cami said, but couldn't help wondering who was Wyatt really. On the way back home, we made meaningless chit chat and talked about his favorite shows, and the new movie, now you see me 2.
Standing on his porch, he turned to face me, 'A word of warning, my house is rather messy, my mom is... extremely enthusiastic, and might force feed you some of her new "inventions".'
I gave a little chuckle, I understood perfectly well how mothers could be extremely embarrassing. 'No worries, the only reason why our house seemed rather clean is coz we haven't started unpacking stuff.'
He gave a slight nod, and opened the door. Immediately, different spices assaulted my nose, rosemary, mint, parsley... 'hey mom! Logan's come over! Need to discuss our English project!'
A tall, elegant lady stepped out from the kitchen, she cleaned her hands on the towel hanging round her neck, and dabbed at the sweat on her forehead. She gave me a friendly smile and said, 'sorry for looking like this, I'm usually not sweating buckets. I was just preparing the roast chicken for dinner. Wyatt, is Logan staying for dinner?'
Wyatt gave me a questioning look, and I said, 'I would love to Mrs. Jones, if it's no trouble.'
'No, no. No trouble. Well I better start on dessert.' And she bustled off.
'So... wanna come up to my room?' Wyatt asked. I nodded.
Wyatt's room was anything but messy, perfectly stalked book on the book shelf, made bed, stationary sorted and stored in different compartments. Unlike my room, his desk was clear, without a single thing on it, not even a laptop. His walls were bare, no decoration, no posters.
'So... What you think?' He asked, shuffling his feet. 'It's... uh... neat?'
'Come on, be as harsh as you want.'
'It looks too much like a model room, you know? Like those you see in ikea or something. It shows no personality, and it's not you. It feels kinda bare and lonely, if that makes sense.'
'Yeah... I get what you mean. I had a "renovation" of sorts, the old decor reminded me too much of my old self, and I still haven't figured out myself yet. I guess you could say, I'm turning a new page and want to start over? I just can't figure out where to begin.'
'So, what was Cami talking about?'
'So first and foremost, I'm bisexual, which is why Matthew thought you might be my boyfriend. Also, about what Cami said, I used to be a major player, like I would have a new toy every week. I was a major heartbreaker and play boy, and even dated Cami for a while. We broke up, and I changed for the better, and she for the worst. And here I am now.'
I knew I wasn't getting the whole truth, but I didn't expect him to start dishing out all his deepest secrets on the first day of meeting me. So I just nodded. He'll tell me when he feels like it.
'Oh. And I'm also in the dance team, so if you want to try out, feel free to audition.' Wyatt added.
'Wait seriously? Are there any other boys in the dance team?'
'Well, assuming you will join, you are the only other boy in it.'
'Oh... I expected as much.'
'So, tell me more about you, what's your back story?'
I guess since he told me something about his background, I was kinda obliged to do the same, 'as you probably already know, Mrs. Lowry is my aunt, and we wanted to change up the environment a bit and our old town was extremely boring, so we moved here.'
