I woke up from my sleep and saw the blurred woman from yesterday standing there in front of me.

I jumped when I realized she wasn't a figment of my imagination. I wasn't dreaming. I wasn't safe at home in my warm bed. I couldn't hear gran making tea on the wood stove.

She has dark hair and skin, and bright piercing eyes. She was extremely thin and tall. Gran would say she looked sickly.

I chuckled thinking the way gran would stare in amazement at the woman's figure.

"Hello," She looked down at a file and read my name out loud. "Kippa Grace Fine." The woman gave me a look "Your parents certainly have a lot of nerve naming you, Kippa!" She laughed and shook her head.

She spat my name at me as if it was slang. But I knew if I ever wanted to leave I better be nice...

She smirked and undid my restraints which ached and bled. She handed me a cool cloth to clean my wounds. I started to clean them and I whimpered at the burning pain. She laughed at my discomfort.

I threw it back in her face. She spun around caught it in her hand and shook her head. "With that attitude we won't put you in with the other special children."

The woman left me a cup of corn and some bread. I didn't want her to win, so I waited until she left to wolf down the small meal.

But there are other children in here?! "What do they people want with me... Us?" I asked myself.

What if they are going to kill us? What if we are test dummies? So many thoughts ran through my already clouded mind.

I paced around the room for a while thinking. "How long could they keep me in here?" I knew they would probably kill me by tomorrow or move me with the other "Children".
