Chapter Five

The rest of the day was a blur a surreal blur. I had just come in contact with my best friend. After our reunion we were separated because boys and girls here aren't allowed to touch each other. Stupid rules.

My head spun all I lay wide awake in my mildly confutable bunk. Lilac was snoring above me so I couldn't sleep. I had to pee so I decided to wake her up and ask her where the bathroom was.

I nudged her and she shot up immediately, making me jump. Her usually perfect hair was up in a messy bun. It mad me laugh as she starred around the room not knowing what was going on.

"Where's the bathroom?" I asked her nervously. She gave me a look like I was stupid. She shook her head.

"It's in the hallway." She whispered angrily. I nodded and walked down the hall in my robe. I saw the sign and went to open the door, the door flung open and I was pulled inside.

I tried to scream but a hand was muffling my sounds. "Shh!" The person hissed. I reached my hand back and punched then in the face. The grasp released my mouth and I whipped around.

"You idiot." I said dabbing a wet cloth under his nose, cleaning the blood. "You know I have a good punch."

"I though you would know who it is." He shrugged. I rolled my eyes while giggling. He grabbed me and we fell to the ground, me on top of him. His eyes starred at me as I looked back.

"I missed you, Kip." Leo said brushing my hair back. I nodded and buried my face in his neck. I could hear the sound of his heart and that made me realize he was really here.

I got up and washed my hands. He stayed on the ground looking at me. His eyes scanned me up and down. "Puberty has been good to you. He said biting his lip." I rolled my eyes and helped him up.

He grabbed my waist hugging me once again. I hugged back with all my might. I looked at his face. His hair scruffy and his eyes a perfect shape. My heart started to race was he looked back at me.

We decided to stay in the bathroom the rest of the night. "How's Blake?" I said as we played tic tack toe with rocks. He shrugged and made his move with the rock.

"How long have you been here?" Once again he shrugged not even looking up. "A while." His voice trailed off.

We exchanged stories as we played games in the bathroom. I told him about my gran and he told be about Blake and how he was taken.

I grew tired to we decided to walk back to the dorm for the rest of the night. He hugged me and grabbed my hand as we walked in and went to our separate beds.

His face was all I though about. That may sound creepy but, having a best friend for eight months and then being separated and seeing him after puberty?

It was confusing to my brain. Leo got hot, I mean really hot. By the way he looked at me I think he felt the same way. I nodded off thinking of him and Blake.
