Bonnie sat in one of the many chairs, head in his hands. He tried to push away what he'd seen... what he'd heard.

But something like this? It'd probably haunt him for a long, long time.

Chica was rubbing his back, trying to comfort the bunny without much success. For that matter, she and Foxy had heard everything, as well... once the basement door had been opened, anyway.

But the pirate had a set look on his face, sitting in the security office, tablet in his hands and moving rapidly between a few cameras.

It had to work eventually. A blind night guard was a silly idea, but it wouldn't have been an issue if Freddy hadn't gone mad...

"Aye, c'mon lad, I know ye be there... we need ye somethin' fierce..."

"So I've heard," came a low, booming voice. Foxy couldn't help but jump a little himself, embarrassed for having done so. Was this why so many past night guards had freaked out? No wonder; popping into the office without a sound was unnerving.

The bear before him was nearly identical to Freddy, but a good deal taller and stockier. Instead of mostly brown, the giant bear's hair was a bright blonde, long and tied back. Even his suit was a bright golden color, the bow tie and top hat purple with a hint of the black dress shirt showing under the vest.

Having long ago lost his teal-colored eyes, Fredbear had the white-lighted vision permanently.

"Aye, Gold, ye sneaky little--"

"Foxy." The pirate shut up instantly. "What's going on? I know bits and pieces, but... you didn't need the cameras to wake me up this time." His mouth thinned. "I cannot recall any other time a night guard's screaming woke me up. And I am very, very sorry to have seen why she was screaming," he added, rubbing his face.

Foxy shifted, just as uncomfortable. "A-Aye, we... all heard it. But... Gold, we ain't got an inklin' as to how t' snap the Captain out of this. His mind sailed off without 'im a long time ago... and we don't want t' hurt either of 'em."

But Gold merely sat quietly for a minute, deep in thought. "Love is... difficult to overcome. It is love, isn't it?" The fox nodded. "And you don't wish for the girl to be harmed?" Another nod. "Then we've one option left."

Bears normally didn't purr. But the sounds coming from Freddy's throat couldn't have been anything else as he lay on his back, exhausted.

Somehow, you'd convinced him to unbind you. Maybe he'd taken pity on you... or was extremely pleased. His ears were ringing, your screams still lingering in his mind.

Now he could die happy.

You, on the other hand, were a crumpled mess of pain and exhaustion. A pleasant kind of exhaustion... but your thighs were killing you.

In the back of your mind, you wondered: had someone come downstairs? You were almost sure you'd heard footsteps, but... you were quite distracted. It might have been nothing.

You were tugged around on the bed until the bear pressed up against you, still making those deep purring sounds.

For now, he would stay. Tonight. Enjoy the quiet, enjoy your company.

Tomorrow, he had work to do. A lot of work.

The next day passed in much the same way as the first, with one exception that you couldn't help but notice: Bonnie never came to check on you. Was he too shy after being kissed?

Freddy didn't bother with binding your hands again, confident that you wouldn't try to escape. Where would you run to?

But there was a strange feeling of being watched. There were no cameras in the basement, you were sure, and yet the silence bothered you immensely.

Freddy had already left you a few minutes ago and there had been no footsteps. Eyebrows knotted, you asked, "Hello...?"

'This is stupid. I'm talking to nobody.'

"Your hearing is more exceptional than I thought, child. I'm impressed." The sudden deep voice made you jump, curling on the bed and gripping the blankets tightly. "Calm down. I'm not here to harm you."

"Then tell me who the fuck you are!"

"... call me Gold. I was the original "Freddy", technically speaking. Fredbear is my proper name. But you, child..." the stranger went on, his voice slowly getting closer, making you shrink back, "You are... different. You've captured one of us, and I am afraid he has lost his mind entirely."

You paused. "..... Freddy. You think Freddy lost his mind. How? He's fine..."

"Your lack of sight doesn't let you notice him, child. He is paranoid and prone to lashing out. Twitching as if caught on an electrical current. And his eyes are gone. Not as yours are, but... in our own way."

Slowly, very slowly, you dropped your guard. This guy, this "Gold", sounded regretful. Was he right? Maybe Freddy had changed... a little bit...

The weight on the bed shifted as Gold sat down; man, was he heavy. "Child, I will ask this of you once. Are you willing to fix him?"

"... I don't understand."

"I know. But he is not the same. We do not want to cause harm to either of you, but if he is not fixed, he may snap. Violently."

Heart pounding hard, you swallowed. "He... he seems fine, I don't get why..."

"The love he feels has twisted into something possessive and dangerous. We have one chance to fix the damage done, but we cannot do so without you."

He sounded so much like your brother that it was difficult to keep your lip from shaking. Yet you couldn't deny it, either... Freddy wasn't the same.

"...... what do I have to do?"
