"You are clear to go back to work, but it seems that you will have to take it easy for the first week then you can go back to the hard work. Does that sound okay?"
"Absolutely, doctor." Gabby smiled. "Can I ask you about something?"
"Of course, I'm your doctor," He stated.
"I know, ya know, nevermind. I'll see you in two weeks." She stated, rushing to her car.
She walked into her apartment and found Matt sitting on the couch. Gabby sat next to him and pretended to watch tv as she thought about babies.
"Matt..." She started.
"Yeah, Gabby?"
"I wanna have kids." Gabby added.
"Me too." Matt stated.
"No, I want to have kids, like, now." Gabby admitted.
"Really?" Matt asked.
"Yes, really," Gabby confessed.
"Seriously, let's go, what are we waiting for!?" He laughed, carrying her to the bedroom.

The next day, they both went into work, happier and perkier than ever.
"Hey, Gabby? Back and better than ever?" Severide teased.
"I guess so, I'm just, I don't know, happy." Gabby stated.
"Okay, that's fine. Actually, that's great. You know, with everything that's happened, you deserve this." Severide acknowledged.
"This? You know? Who told you?" Gabby asked, smiling.
"That you're happy, you deserve to be happy. What are you talking about?" Severide questioned her confused.
"Um, nothing. Okay, I'll tell you, but you can't tell anybody. Matt and I, we are trying to get pregnant. We want to have children." Gabby announced.
"Before you're married? That's odd." Severide commented.
"Yeah, but if it goes as planned, we're gonna get married soon after the baby is born." Gabby added.
"Oh, okay. I'm happy for you, then. And you have to tell me immediately when you find out that you are pregnant!" Severide cheered and approved.
"Certainly." Gabby laughed, "remember, no telling anyone."

I know that this was short and boring, I'm sorry, but I'm really excited for the storyline that is to come. I don't know if it was mentioned in here already, but just to remind y'all, in this fanfic, Gabby had already been pregnant, like in the tv show and everything ended the same. So just keep that in mind. I'm hoping to get a new chapter up everyday or at least once a week.
