As I clicked submit on my form a squeal escaped my lips. I had just entered a competition to win tickets to a Mychemicalromamce concert! I was so happy and excited to see if I would win although I knew the chances were slim. I logged of the computer so Tianna, who had been nagging me the whole time I was trying to submit my form, could use the computer. But bless she was only five. I walked through the old living room and into the hallway where I saw, Aria and Joe whispering about something, then I saw a packed of cigarettes passed from one to the other until Aria finally agreed to take them and handed Joe the money. Really?! This is a care home for gods sake!! She clocked that I had seen and pushed Joe away rushing towards me with an angry look on her face.
"You saw nothing...okay?" She whispers violently spitting slightly on my face. I wipe the spit away and nod my head in agreement. I saw nothing. She walks away and down the three steps towards the kitchen. What's the point in them steps even being there? I head the opposite way going down the set of steps and making my way down the damp smelly hall way to get to my room. I walked past Millie's room and heard the thrashing of music, me and Millie got along she was 18 and I was only 15 but we had to same taste in music. Guns and Roses was blasting out of her speakers so almost the whole house could hear.
'WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE, WE GOT FUN AND GAMES'
I started singing along quietly as I walked past and made my way to my room right at the end of the corridor. You could tell which one was mine because of the big twenty øne piløts poster on the door. I opened the door and was greeted by all my posters.
Twenty øne piløts,
Nirvana,
Pierce the veil,
ACDC,
Guns 'n' Roses,
You me at six,
My chemical romance,
Led Zeppelin,
Marilyn Manson,
I loved them all and was mentally married to about ten of them. Don't judge. For you to judge oh no, set me freeeee. Sorry but that was an appropriate time for a TØP song! I jumped on my bed and grabbed my phone from under my pillow. Privacy wasn't very respected in this house. Because I was in care I'm not allowed any social media or any contact with the outside world. Alienating I know. It can be lonely in here but there is always some drama going on. Either the houses drama queen 'fainting' or calling someone names, even threatening to stab them?!No new messages.
I looked at my phones lock screen, to my surprise I had no messages! SARCASM! I picked up my matte black headphone and plugged them into the bottom of my phone, I opened my music app and started playing My Chemical Romance, The Light Behind Your Eyes. Best song ever! I could still hear Millie's music faintly over mine, despite mine being full volume. The draw for the concert tickets would be chosen tomorrow by MCR themselves!! If you won, you would get concert tickets for three, a stay in the VIP section of the O2 arena before the concert and free food from Pizza Hut. It's all my factoid dreams in one, just the thought of it made me excited. I checked my emails and texts although it said I had nothing just to be sure I hadn't got a message saying I had won. What a surprise right? Note the sarcasm! I slung myself back onto my bed and closed my eyes, concentrating on the lyrics. Before I even had time to breath out a loud knocking at my door. I opened one eye just to check what I could hear was real. Another knock echoed in my empty room. Yep, it was real alright. I groaned loudly as I got up and made my way to the door. The knocking didn't stop and was almost continuous now.
"okay, okay i'm going jeez" I shouted with my eardrums still in my ears and the music blasting out.
I opened the door to find little Tianna. How can someone so small make so much noise?
"Oh hey Tianna, whats the matter?" I said sweetly trying not to be as angry as I could be.
"Um Hannah, Miss Olivia says that you have to come downstairs because lunch is ready" Her voice just made me melt with cuteness. She was the cutest thing ever but also really annoying at times.
"Okay thanks Tianna" I smiled as she ran away, Miss Olivia is our 'carer', well at least that's what she call herself. She is the lady who runs our house. Everything has to be on time all the time, if your more than three minutes late to lunch then tough you don't eat. Simple.
I trotted down stairs my earphones still in my ears and the music still blasting. This time Jimi Hendrix was playing. I walked into the kitchen like normal but this time everyone looked at me. I could feel my cheeks flush red as I wasn't one who liked attention.
"So we saw your little plan Hannah" she said sternly standing at the end of the table. As if I wasn't red enough already. God what have I don't this time? I didn't steal anything, use anything of hers?
"W...w...what do you mean?" I stuttered.
"I mean what you used the computer for" she raised one eyebrow and pulled a face. She was angry.
"I'm trying to understand but I don't" I said confused, everyone was still looking at me but I tried not to meet their eyes.
"You submitted a form to win tickets to a My chemical romance concert, eh?" She said tapping her foot on the floor and raising her hand to her hip.
"Oh..." I said fiddling with my hands and turning my head to the floor to hide my embarrassment. She started walking towards me her heals clicking as she did. When she was finally stood inches apart from me she let out a scream,
"IF YOU WIN THOSE TICKETS YOU GOTTA PROMISE YOU WILL TAKE ME! AHHHHHH!" She started screaming and shouting jumping up and down. The shock of what had just happened must have been visible by my expression as she then said,
"Don't look so surprised Hannah, your not the only one with good music taste is this house" she winked at me. She like MCR? What?
