"Idiot" I heard a low mumble.

I groaned and squirmed around in my bed trying to continue my sleep.

"You're kidding right?" The same voice interrupts me as I try to fall back to sleep.

"Hello, Aiden. C'mon, its literally summer, and you're literally sleeping it away. We could be at the beach in Puerto Rico, or Guatemala... Where are you from again?" Aly's squeaky voice echoes my room and makes my eyes slowly open in annoyance.

"Aly." I groan to try to make her stop talking, but it doesn't work.

"You're Puerto Rican, but you have more of a... I dont know ... ghetto accent to you, you know? Anyways Ryan is waiting for us outside and you're wasting our time!" She lays her hands on my back and shakes me. I could feel my brain rattling inside my head. I turn over, grabbing her hands; I pulled her onto the bed and laid my full body weight right on top of her.

"Aiden, COME ON. You're like the most annoying person on the planet." She complains under me.

"Okay, first of all Aly, Ghetto isn't a race. Second, why is Ryan waiting outside for us? And third, I'm the most annoying person ever?" I ask still half asleep and spreading out on top of her.

"Yes, you. Can you get up, and get ready? Please? Its Nathan's surprise birthday party, and if we're the last ones to walk in, it won't be much of a surprise." Aly tries to push me off but fails.

"Why is it important that we go? He has like, 8 million friends." I mumble with my eyes closed.

"No, he has 8 million girlfriends. There's a difference." She stopped trying to push me off and started running her fingers through my hair as she talked my ear off and I pretended to listen.

"You know, Nathan is like the baby of the group. Ever noticed that? Doesn't really know how to make decisions on his own. At least not good ones. Do you ever think he'll settle down with anyone? Like... ever?" There was a silence and I opened my eyes and looked up at her.

"Aly, it's Nathan. If he wants to be a hoe for the rest of his life, I don't see why not. No one is committed to anyone. No one's wearing a ring around here. So who cares?" I searched her face for an agreement but instead it was pure disapproval.

"Ryan and I are committed." She said sternly. I got up and rolled my eyes.

"Okay, name someone else I know." I said walking towards the bathroom. I could hear as she got up and followed me.

"Logan and Tulsi are committed. I mean, they're complicated but-"

"Complicated doesn't count." I interrupted.

"You and Ashley were committed." She said leaning against the bathroom door.

I looked at her and with my toothbrush in hand and smiled.

"I'm sorry... who?"

"So you saw her profile pi-"

"Wasn't that the same girl she told me not to worry about?" I said brushing my teeth.

Aly shrugged and sighed. I finished brushing my teeth and as I turned to go back to my room, I finally got a good look at Aly.

"Holy shit Aly. You look hot." I said looking her up and down. Her flowery dress flowed down to her knees and curly brown hair flowed past her shoulders. She blushed.

"Okay can you shut up and look less... creature-like." She said looking me up and down. I laughed and went straight to my closet. I slipped on ripped jeans and a black crop top. I quickly did my make up and let my shoulder length red hair straight. As I walked out, Aly looked at me with a face of disgust.
