"Get out!" Damian yelled.
The entire Sytherin Common Room went silent, and people slowly began going back to their dormitories. Only Ayano and Damian remained.
Ayano kept her fingers wrapped tight around her wand, just in case. Damian frowned.
"Throw your wand onto the armchair."
"No." Ayano said firmly.
"Very well, then." Damian's lips curled into a cruel grin. "Accio wand."
Ayano's wand shot into his free hand, and he tossed it aside. Ayano reached for it, but Damian stopped her.
"Wingardium Leviosa." He hissed.
Ayano tried not to gasp as she felt herself being lifted into the air. The sensation of having no ground below her was terrifying.
"Put me down, Damian." She ordered.
"Not a chance." He snapped. "Might I know why you decided to involve Alice?"
"She involved herself, Damian!"
"No." Damian lifted his wand, and Ayano rose higher. "You lie, Ayano. You always do."
"Shut up, you horrible-"
"No I won't." Damian withdrew his wand, and Ayano hit the floor with a loud thud. Pain ran up her knees as she tried to get up. Her head throbbed with pain and anger.
"Got more?" She growled.
Damian blinked. "I am sorry?"
"Of course you are." Ayano muttered, as she tried to get to her feet.
Damian opened his mouth to speak, but shut it quickly, realizing that it was hopeless. She was far too beautiful to fight with. Damian couldn't help staring at her- At her gorgeous ocean-blue curls that crashed on the shoulders like waves. Her pitch-black eyes, which resembled the darkest of dark tunnels, which he'd longed to explore ever since the very moment he'd set eyes on her. On the Hogwarts Express.
He had sat alone, engrossed in a book. The compartment door slid open, and a girl's head poked in. "Excuse me, have you seen- Oh, I'm sorry, you wouldn't know Raghavi." The girl left as fast as she'd entered. Overwhelmed with curiosity, Damian had peeped out to see whether she was still there, and sure enough, she was.
She was laughing with a boy and a girl, whom he did not recognize. Her smile was intoxicating. Sure, she was clearly older, but it was love at first sight.
And then a few years later, Alice had come into his life, and had filled the empty space in his heart that he had somehow presumed Ayano would fill. But nevertheless, he was happy with Alice, but would definitely be happier with Ayano.
"Go up, Damian."
Damian jumped. Ayano stood in front of him, her wand in her hand, pointed directly at his face.
"To your bedroom, Damian. NOW."
"You can't tell me what to do." Damian snapped.
"I very well can, and I most certainly will." Ayano smirked. "Unless you'd like me to carry you upstairs?"
Again, Damian's heart slightly fluttered, but he swallowed down whatever words were rising in his mouth. "I can carry myself. And I'm forgiving you this time. The next time you ever go against Alice-"
"You just don't want to duel me."
"I don't want to hurt you." He blurted.
Ayano raised her eyebrows. "Why? Because I'm a GIRL?!?"
"Ye-Yes." Damian staggered back. He wasn't expecting that. "Because you're far too girly for me to fight with."
"And just a few minutes ago, you lifted me at least four feet off the ground, and now you say that I'm too girly for you to fight with?!? Are you mentally sane, Wayne?"
"Don't call me that, Scarlet." Damian retaliated. He was on the first step of the staircase to the boys' dormitories, when he quickly added "And one more thing. Slytherins and Gryffindors can't be friends."
He dodged the bolt of light and dashed up to his dormitory, leaving a fuming Ayano in the Common Room.

Jane drew out her wand and muttered "Lumos!"
Hydra and Jane were trying to be as quiet as mice as they sneaked into the library. Clearly, Jane couldn't do it.
"Do you have any siblings?"
Hydra slid past a table carefully and replied "I should have a brother. But he died."
"I'm sorry." Jane said, although she didn't sound the least bit sorry. She tiptoed towards the Restricted Section.
"We aren't supposed to go there, Jane. Not tonight, definitely not. Maybe we can come back tomorrow?"
"No." Jane said softly. "Now's the time."
The two of them walked carefully towards the last row of books. Gently, Jane pulled out a thick leather book with a bloodstain on the cover.
Hydra tensed. "Maybe we should go, Jane."
"No. Look at this." She flipped through the book, uncaring about whether her fingers touched the bloodstain or not. When she reached her desired page, she showed it to Hydra.
"A poem?" Hydra said.
"Read it."
When all that is dark touches the light,
the monster will bring terror and fright,
to the weak, the strong, the brave and the loyal,
Malfoy blood, for victory against evil they will toil.
Abraxas will lend strength to the chosen,
Lucius will render time frozen,
Narcissa will radiate love and faith,
Draco will bring forth the eighth.
