"Her soul was too deep to explore for those who always swam in the shallow end." - a.j Lawless
"Ms Evelyn Parker, Masters on English Literature!" Some unpleasant noise rings in the background, but I'm lost in my bubbles of thoughts, exploring the deepest regions in my head.
Until someone jerks my shoulder, forcing me to hit the reality.
"Huh-what?" I look up, staring at Natasha dumbfounded.
"Your names being called! Get up and get your freaking ass on the stage and get your degree girl!" She hisses at me under her breathe!
"Shit! Did I zoned out again?" I forgot that I was attaining my graduation! And Natasha's practical shouting at me for losing my track of time.
I kind of have this habit of zoning out of the reality for a while. I know I'm insane.
"Yeah! Go fast!" She murmurs.
I got up from my seat and started walking towards the stage, not running but walking as fast as I can. I could feel everyone's gaze on me. It cannot get anymore embarrassing. I hope I don't trip.
Our principle had his eyes narrowed on mine.
"Somewhere lost, young lady?" He gives me a crooked smile.
"Uh-.. Sorry, sir.. I kind of got lost.." I smiled and then looked down with embarrassment.
"Our guest of honour will give you the scroll." Mr Pattison, our principle, gestures his hands to left. I looked up, to his hand from his face to where he's pointing.
And my, my, my,...
I could really use my 'zoning out' powers right now.
A tall, strong figure stands before me, domineering the whole stage, in fact the whole auditorium.
He has a perfectly sculptured face, with those grey eyes which pierces into my poor soul and those dark copper color hair which I want to run my hands all over it. He was wearing a black pants and white shirt with a black tuxedo and was wearing a dark grayish tie. All my attentions were stuck on that tie.
"Uh-hmm.." Mr Pattison clears his throat.
Wake up! Wake up! I shout at myself.
I took small steps towards him, who was standing there with my degree in his hand, his eyes following me. Eyeing my every movement.
I stop when I'm at a good distance from him and looked slightly up, because he's really tall.
"Evelyn?" He says my name as if he's testing it. And his voice is so strong and soothing at the same time which turns my feet into jelly.
"Yeah?.. Sir?" I murmur. Should I shut up? I probably should.
I realized that I'm gawking at this guy. What the hell am I doing? Get yourself together girl!
He hands me the scroll without saying anything. I take it gratefully, and extended my hand for professional handshake and he takes it. That small contact was enough to send bolts of current through my body.
I was practicality running out of the stage towards my seat.
I was literally day dreaming while receiving my degree,. All because of that creepo!
When all the degrees were given, it was time for the graduation party.
"Oh my god, Evelyn! What was that all about!?" Natasha hugs me from behind and twirls me towards her direction.
