•••Kyra's POV•••
I woke up to Rae blasting music, this wasn't unusual this is actually how we start our days. I check the time 2:07p.m. , I rarely slept in this late considering that I always had some type of class to attend, But today I'm free and have zero classes and work also permitted me to have a day off. I got out of my bed and checked my phone, I had recieved multiple texts that I would check later and went to my music app. I plugged my phone into my speakers and hit shuffle on my playlist. The first song that came on was " implicit demand for proof". Humming along to the song I headed towards my closet. "Hm" I mumbled to myself. I picked out me black converse, high tops of course. A light skinny jeans and a black hoodie that had white strings coming through the hood. I got in the shower and washed my hair, which was usually a mess so I had to leave my conditioner in a little longer and then I washed my body then got out. I grabbed a towel and started getting dressed. Yeah I'm not really one to dress up so I'm almost always playing it simple. I head back to the bathroom and scrunched my brown hair, then did my makeup routine which was;
Doing my eyebrows,
Putting on light eyeshadow ,
And a little eyeliner just to make my brownish green eyes pop,
Then light mascara. When I was done I grabbed my phone and turned off my speaker and headed to the kitchen to make some breakfast. Rae was already out there eating a bagel.
" hey girl " she greeted wiping cream cheese from the side of her mouth.
" what's up dude " I smile back as I head to the fridge and pick out some fruit and put them together in a bowl. "Nothing much, I know it's your day off and you'd probably like to have a lazy day but today we're gonna have a girls day because I'm also off and have no classes. Well not until later at least. " she stated.
" Actually im glad you offered because I really didn't know what I was gonna do today and I was about to ask you what you were doing today, and see if I could tag along." I shrugged taking a bite of pineapple.
" Well now you know chica " she smiled standing up and brushing off her shirt and skirt. "I'll be out in a minute I have to go brush my teeth" she said before going back to her room. "Mhmm " I mumbled scrolling through my Instagram feed.
••• Rae's POV•••
I put my plate in the sink and brush off my black skater skirt and say "I'll be out in a minute I have to go brush my teeth " .
" mhmm" Kyra mumbles back. I go inside my room and check my outfit one more time a white sublime shirt and a black skater skirt with my black and white old skool vans. My hair was straight and I was proud of myself for perfecting my wings and eyeshadow today. I went to go brush my teeth and when I finished I applied a light pink lip gloss, grabbed my purse then went to Kyra.
" ready to go ?" I ask.
" yeah I just gotta grab my..." She said pausing before getting up and grabbing her wallet from the side table by the couch ".. my this! " she said smiling.
" okay let's go" I laugh out.
When we got to the car I sat in drivers side ( we share a car) and she took passengers.
" I'm trusting you with the aux cord Ky" I said handing her the cord with a 'wanna be serious but I can't ' look. " you're trust is safe with me " she said plugging in her phone browsing her music list.
"Did you hear twenty one pilots tickets are for sale " I heard her say.
" oh really" I smiled to myself.
" yeah, I wanna go really bad " she pursued " I would love to be in the same room as Tyler Joseph " she said holding her hands to her chest and looking up.
" you're so dramatic" I say laughing.
" But you know you love it !" She exclaimed.
" yea yea whatever " I say smiling at her. The whole way to the mall, all she played was the 1975, TØP and sublime and occasionally some remix songs, but hey that's all I listen to so I'm not complaining. When we got there we made a beeline for hot topic, I ran to the band tee's and she ran towards the swimsuits since she needed ones. I picked out a few shirts like ; twenty one pilots, because I need a new one and I need something for the concert, the neighbourhood, the 1975, Bring me the horizon, Red Hot Chili Peppers and another sublime shirt. Kyra picked an all black bikini with sliver designs all over.
And some shirts similar to mine except instead of BMTH and RHCP she got pearl jam and Bob Marley. When we finished there we headed towards bath and body works and picked out a few perfumes and hand sanitizers because we were running low on both and (plus they're having a big sale this month woo ^-^ ). When we finished there we went to a few other stores getting some bottoms and some new shoes.
" I'm kinda hungry " Kyra stated.
" well, let's go to the food court " I smiled. We stopped at a smoothie stand first I got a strawberry, blueberry, and pineapple smoothie while Kyra got Apple, grape and banana. I don't know how she likes bananas they're so gross and slimy and ew. But after that we went to Taco Bell. I Just got a chicken quesadilla and Kyra got a nacho bel grande.
"I think we had a successful day " I said nodding towards the huge pile of bags we had accumulated.
"Agreed " Kyra said stuffing her mouth with food.
When we finished we gathered our things and headed to the car and loaded everything up.
" I'm in a really good mood today and I really don't feel like going home, wanna go see a movie or go to a music store or something?" I suggested.
" yeah sure" she said back.
" okay so guitar center then movie because I wanna see if they have any new drum kits or keyboards in yet because I've been meaning to pick one up " I say backing out and heading towards the nearest guitar center.
...20 minutes later...
"$700 dollars!" I exclaimed
"I mean it's worth it " the worker said tapping on one of the keys.
" You're right but oh my " I said tugging at my hair.
" if I were you I'd buy it now before it sells out because we're about to discontinue this line of keyboards " the worker pushed.
" ugh. Fine" I said handing him the money.
" thanks have a good day, since you gave me exact change just go ahead and take the keyboard" the worker stated.
" thanks dude " I smiled and took no time to take the keyboard.
" sorry you had to watch me try to negotiate for an hour " I apologized to Kyra
"It's all good" she smiled "I was browsing movies anyway, and I found conjuring 2 and lights out, since I know you like scary movies and I haven't watched one in forever" she stated.
" the last conjuring was kinda boring, let's try lights out?" I asked.
" okay let's go" she said.
"Okay, but first can you get the door for me " I said nodding toward the keyboard.
" yeah whatever " she laughed out
"Thanks dude" I smiled and carried the thing to the car.
" To the movies ?" I asked
"To the movies !" She exclaimed.
•••• after the movies and at home ••••
"That movie wasn't even that scary" I huffed loudly as I set everything I had gotten in my room by my closet.
" I agree. It was kinda stupid" Kyra replied.
" I'm not really that hungry. I'm full off quesadilla and popcorn and slushie/ smoothie" I sighed out.
" yeah me too but I'm kinda tired so I'll catch ya later, I had fun today " she smiled than yawned then headed towards her room. I did the same. I changed into spandex and a loose shirt then plugged my phone in and fell asleep.
