Despite being sickly, he was still a fearful figure. Mysterious, suspicious, and more of a nuisance than anything else. Nobody dug any deeper than the surface that prevailed, to see the softer, kinder side.
No, that wasn't how it worked.
Watching over others within their reveries was what he wanted to do. Nightmare desired to protect them all, though it was inevitable that it'd end up the opposite.
