-2 Years Later-

The wind blew thorough my hair as I walked through the yard. A couple dead leaves scattered in the wind and made a crunching noise when they got caught under my feet.

"Hey Jason." I say as I reach him. He doesn't answer me. "I still hope one day you'll say something back, but I know you won't." I sigh, sitting down across from him.

I began to tell him about my day and what he's missing out on at school, seeing he hasn't been there in two years. He still says nothing, he just sits there in silence.

"As of today, its been exactly two years ago since you died." I say, ripping a piece of grass out and peeling it in half, as a tear manages to escape my eye. "I really miss you, Jason. I feel like a part of me is missing and I still see your face and hear your voice as clear as day and I can't help but know that it's my fault. I'm the reason your in that coffin. If I had just listened to you, and if you weren't staring at me, you'd be with me right now." I let the tears fall this time. I buried my face in my knees as I sobbed, unable to speak. "It's all my fault. I'm so sorry."

After a while of crying into my knees, I pulled my blanket out and curled up on the ground beside the rock that was shoved into the ground

I ended up slowly drifting asleep as I lay on my back, looking at the stars beside his grave.

"Shit." I curse under my breath as I realize that I fell asleep. I look at my phone to see that it's two in the morning. I get up and shove my blanket back into my backpack and I place the flowers I brought in front of the tombstone. I blew a kiss to Jason before walking out of the cemetery.

I closed the gate behind me and put in my headphones as I started to walk home.

At two in the morning.

In downtown New York.

Not my greatest plan...

I walked cautiously down the darkened streets of Manhattan. The only source of light was the occasional flickering lamp that had homeless people laying in their makeshift beds. I stopped and gave each one that I passed a ten dollar bill so they could buy themselves a nice meal.

"Thank you so much, god bless." A woman in a dirty tench coat told me, beaming at the bill.

"My pleasure, take care." I said back smiling at her.

I continued walking and put my headphones back in, switching up my choice and putting on my Rise Against playlist instead of my normal 'every song on my iPhone' shuffle. I kept walking until I got to an alley way and saw two guys standing there, cornering a teenage girl.

"You seem lovely, sweet cheeks. I could do all kinds of things to you and the best part is, no ones here to stop me." The one guy snarled and he took a step towards her. I could hear her ragged breaths, making it obvious that she was terrified.

"P-please don't hurt me, I'll give you all my money!" She wailed, throwing her purse at them and hit one of the guys in the face with it, on accident.

"Why you littl-"

"Leave her alone!" I called out, putting my phone back into my bag.

The guy whipped around to look at me. I saw the outline of a gun in his pocket, causing me to gulp in fear.
