This one is placed after Percy's disappearance, after The Lost Hero.

Annabeth left archery practice and sneaked into cabin three- the Poseidon cabin. She looked over her shoulder and quietly closed the door. She breathed in the scent of ocean air as she slid against the wall to the floor. It reminded her of him. Everything reminded her of him.

Camp had been depressing. The campers' spirits had been down. Just by looking at their faces you could tell something was wrong.

But no one felt it more than Annabeth did. Search parties were sent out everyday to look for him. She dreaded making the Iris-message to his mother to report the same horrible news. Nothing scared her more than this. Not even the Mount St. Helen's incident had scared her this bad.

Annabeth got up and sat on his bed. She raised the sheets to her nose and smiled sadly. They still smelled like him. She began to cry helplessly. Annabeth curled under the covers and pressed her face into his pillow. "Seaweed Brain,  what are you?" she sobbed. "Where could you have possibly gone?"
