FROM WHERE THE WIND BLOWS

Oh master, oh master!
Please look at the rafters
And tell me from where the wind blows.

From the beam she rose
And fell in shakes.
Softly she sways,
Her mind not awake
To the people praying below.

Oh master, oh master!
Please look at the rafters
And tell me from where the wind blows.

Her skin is flayed
And heart erased
By hand and soul of her own.
The people quake and flock to the pews,
Whispering reverent words to you.

Oh master, oh master!
Please look at the rafters
And tell me from where the wind blows.

They did not know her well,
But time, it tells,
The story of her unfortunate fate.
She fell long and hard,
Her mind spiraling down just the same as her weight.

Oh master, oh master!
Please look at the rafters
And tell me from where the wind blows.

She can't be fixed, but she will be missed,
Though her ears cannot hear a sound.
The world went on mute,
The minute she took,
Her feet from off of the edge.

Oh master, oh master!
Please look at the rafters
And tell me from where the wind blows.

A/N: Still here! I know my updates have been infrequent, but please trust me when I say I haven't forgotten about this. I've been working on my first YA novel for the past month and I'm entered in July's Camp NaNoWriMo in order to finish it.

I will still be updating The Bell Tower Chronicles, but the updates may not be as frequent as they used to be. I also plan to participate in competitions on the PoetsPub, so you'll see me around in the month of July.

As always, thank you for sticking with me and taking the time to read. I hope to post again soon, so stay on the lookout!
