Percy Pov
After Andi started chasing Cassie, we all took off after them to make sure someone wouldn't die. Cassie made a beeline towards the pavilion and Andi followed.
They started screaming at each other, but Mr. D interrupted. He said something like they needed to go to Olympus to see their parents.
Right as they were about to go, a plate of purple and blue cookies appeared. I made a grab for them, but Andi got them first and took them with her.
They disappeared in a horde of vines. Nico and I just stared for a while. What just happened?
I needed to clear my head, so I headed out to the beach. I had just sat down when Annabeth showed up.
"You looked like you could use some company," she said putting an arm around my shoulders.
"Not really. I just need to think," I honestly told her. I couldn't help but worry about Cassie and Andi. I know first hand how intimidating the gods could be.
"About what? Those two nobodies who showed up yesterday? I'm your girlfriend, and you should be spending more time with me than those two," she sneered at me. I saw red because Andi and Cassie were the farthest things from nobodies.
"I don't spend time with you anymore because you have taken to acting like a complete bitch. I remember a time when you would make new campers feel welcome. What happened to that?" I asked her angrily. She stared at me because I have never really lost my temper at her.
"What happened was we've been through two WARS, Percy. They change people and I've stopped trusting new people because they all just seem to stab me in the back," she snapped before getting up. Her words held some truth, but we all need to learn to get along.
"I'm sorry. I see your point," I said apologetically. She studied me before speaking.
" I'm sorry for the way I've been acting. I should have never said those things," she said before giving me a hug.
Somehow, this still didn't feel right.
