Today is a warm, sunny day. Birds singing, people rushing to work without a care, kids at school. Here I am, sitting in my office at the station. "Hey, Johnson!" My boss yelled. "Did you finish the report of the current investigation?" I stood there in shock... I... I didn't do the report. I have thoughts running through my mind, thinking, "He's going to fire me, he's going to demote me, oh my god..."
My boss is standing there in front of me, waiting for my answer. I gulped, slowly said, "N-n-no, sir..." I closed my eyes and slided down my chair expecting him to blow at me. Giving me the stink eye then, "Welp, get it done so it can go to the archive." He said.
So I started to write the report of the murder that recently happened a week ago. It was brutal. The pictures they took makes me want to throw up my lunch! I turned the photos upside down so I wouldn't have to see it.

As I was walking to the coffee café, I hear rumbling coming from the ground. "Earthquake?" I thought. I continued to be on my way, then the rumble starts to get worst! "OH MY GOD!" Someone screamed in terror. I followed the scream, and the roads were all cracked up, torn up, all over the place. Bits of lava spewing from the cracks. I was in deep shock, lost of words, and thoughts. My eyes burning from staring at the heat of lava. I slowly backed away, and ran as fast as I could to the station! "CAPTAIN BURCH" I yelled, "ROADS ARE CRACKED AND ALL OVER THE PLACE OVER AT THE HIGHWAY AND MAIN STREET!" Captain Burch looked at me in disbelief, and sighed, "Johnson, you really need to rest. You haven't slept in days because of this horrific case." He patted my shoulders and walked away to his office. I followed him. When we're at the office. I turned to the news on the television to prove to him. "The roads are all ruined and broken due to this unexpected earthquake. The meteorologist are calculating the measurement of the quake and how they could've missed it. The lava is also spewing from these area, please stay away to prevent any deaths of being severely burned." The news woman said. My boss stood there in shock. His eyes were so wide his eyeballs could pop out. He looked at me and said, "Johnson... I... I think its the end of the world." I nodded in agreement. I wondered what can be done to stop this. Is this caused by nature. Or the man above us all?
