Chapter 6

Bella's P.O.V.

Here I am at school and its the last day of my 11th grade year. I am packed and ready to go see my mom in Florida and that will give me time to think about me and Carlisle. I just found out about three weeks ago that Edward's dad was my soul mate and to top it off he has a family, and a beautiful wife named Esme. Edward does not know about this and I pray he don't find out for a long time. I love Carlisle with all my heart and soul but I am so confused about everything. I mean, I am almost 18 and I have the love of two men and one of them is married and have a family. A couple of days ago I got a call from my best friend Jake wanting me to come and see him before I leave. So when I get out of school that is where I am going to be going. I told Edward during lunch that I was going down to La Push after school and I through he was going to flip out. He told me that I should not do that but he has no say over what I do. I still have no clue why he flipped out.

It is my last class of the day and I hate gym so much. I will leave as soon as its over. We were playing volleyball and I tried to stay out of the way. As I was trying to watch the ball something or someone moved out of the corner of my eye and I turned my head. Then I got hit on my right temple hard and I lost my balance and fell to the floor hitting it hard with my head. All I remember is laying there in pain and then black spots formed in my vision and then everything went black.

Edward's P.O.V.

I have been back from Alaska two days ago and went back to school. I missed Bella so much and I wanted to see her. Today at lunch she told me that she was going to go visit her best friend Jacob in La Push. I started to get up set and tell her that she could not go but Bella was stubborn. I left the lunch room and called Carlisle and told him that Bella was going to go to La Push after school and he was not happy about it as I was not. He told me to go and talk her out of it. So I left my math class since we were not doing nothing and walked to the gym to see her. I just walked into the gym and Bella looked my way and then it all happened so fast. She looked at me for a second but it was fast. The volleyball hit her hard in the right temple and then she fell to the floor and hit her head really hard on the floor. It hit hard enough that her head bounced before resting to the side. I stood there frozen for just a second and then I ran to her side and got down beside her. When I got to her she passed out and I started to panic.

"Oh God Bella, please wake up. Open your eyes love if you can hear me," I pleaded with her but I got no response at all.

I held her hand and then the gym teacher came running. He pushed everyone out of the way and when he saw me I could tell that he was about to tell me to get out of the way but I gave him a look that stopped him in his tracks and he said nothing to me. He got on her other side and dropped to his knees and he started to feel for a pulse and he found it but she would not wake up. He yelled for someone to go get the nurse and I saw two other kids run to go get help. I held her hand not wanting to move her just in case she may have broken her neck. I could see that she was still breathing and then I pulled out my phone and called Carlisle who was at the hospital. I told him what happened and he told me to get her there as fast as we can so he can check her over. I hung up and I saw the nurse was running toward us. The gym teacher moved and and the nurse dropped to her knees next to Bella. She bent down and felt behind Bella's head and then she looked at me and she looked scared.

"Edward, call 911 right now. I feel swelling behind there and I am scared she may be having some brain swelling," she tells me.

The look that she gave me caused cold chills. I then called 911 and the lady on the other end told me that an ambulance was on its way right now. She asked me questions and I answered her the best I could. I hung up with them and then I called Charlie and I told him what happened and I told him to meet us at the hospital. He hung up after telling me okay. I looked at Bella and she was not looking good at all. I could see a bump growing on her right temple and no one dared moved her head at all.
