Chapter 7

Carlisle's P.O.V.

It has now been a week and Bella is still not awake from being hit in the head. She has been taken out of CCU and they put her in ICU. Her dad, her mom and my son Edward have been by her side since she has been in her. The rest of my family would visit but then leave to go back home. I would call Alice every once in awhile and she would tell Edward, Renee and Charlie to go home and rest. I told Edward he had to leave some times or people would start to talk. I had to take a day off so it was my turn to send Edward, Charlie and Renee home while I sit with my Bella. I walked into her room and when Charlie saw me I smiled at him and then I looked at my son Edward and I was feeling upset when I saw his eyes.

"Charlie, you need to go home and rest and eat then you can come back later. Edward come out in the hall with me please," I tell him trying to not show how upset I was.

Charlie sat there and then me and Edward walked out in the hall and I made sure there was no one around and then I looked at him and he stepped back as he saw the look I was giving him.

"Edward, you need to go and hunt and I mean very soon. I am disappointed that you have let yourself go this long without drinking. I really don't need you to slip up right now or anytime. Go hunt and do not come back till your eyes are gold," I hissed at him and he looked down and I could tell he felt bad.

"Yes Carlisle, I will go hunt. But you know me tho, I would not hurt no one but I know you are worried and stressed. I really am sorry for not hunting like I should have. I just did not want to leave her just in case she woke up. Will you please call me if she wakes up?" he asked me ashamed looking.

"I will call you if she wakes up but you will not come back till your eyes are the color I want them to be. If you want, grab someone at home and take them with you. Now, please take Charlie home and do not come back," I tell him more softly.

He smiled weakly at me and he walked back into Bella's room and he walked out with Charlie behind him looking very tried. He stopped and looked at me.

"Charlie, go home and please get some rest. I give you my word that I will call you if Bella wakes up. Please tell Renee that she can come back when she is ready. I will be here sitting with Bella till she gets gets here. Go home please," I tell him.

He tells me okay and then him and Edward left. I walked into Bella's room and I sat in the chair next to her bed and then grabbed her hand. I held it in my cold one and then I put my head down and I prayed that she would wake up soon. I missed her so much, hearing her sweet voice. As I had my head down I felt something and then she squeezed my hand lightly. I jumped up carefully and saw that she was looking at me. She tried to smile but she could not around the breathing tube. I sat next to her on the bed and smiled.

"Oh my love, your awake. Oh thank you so much Lord. Bella, its so wonderful to see your beautiful brown eyes again. I want to ask you how you feel but I need to remove your tube," I tell her and she nods her head slowly.

I called for a nurse and she came in and smiled really big when she saw that Bella was awake. I looked at Bella and could see that she was breathing over her tube and I smiled.

"Ms. Swan is breathing over her tube. I need your help please to remove it and then I will check her over," I tell the nurse and she tells me okay.

Nurse Tammy went to the other side and then I looked at my Bella who looked really tired. I smiled at her softly and her heart rate picked up and I smiled bigger.

"Okay Bella, me and nurse Tammy is going to remove the breathing tube. What I need you to do is take a breath as you can and then I need you to blow like your blowing out a candle. On the count of three blow," I tell her and she nods her head.
