Tick tock
Goes the clock
That's sitting on that wall
I can hear it since I'm not so far awayOh how annoying
I've felt too many letters on a page
Saying something of that varietyMy patience has gone and aged
Getting weak and thin
I hate that clock just like I hate time these daysThere it goes again... Time
Time describing age
Even if it's just by years or decades
It's all just a measurement of time
It's something that we cannot escape
Something that even describes the time it takes until we reach a certain point far awayIt goes on and on
And is used in many waysBut what happens if it stops
Would the sun still set and rise
Would we all be frozen and set
with no time to measure our livesThe seconds...
Minutes
And hours
Would probably still be there
Since there needs to be a measurement
If not time than what
Would we becomeWhat if there were no days
And we were just floating around endlesslyAnd then there's something that I just realized
Time isn't just the measurement of our lives
But it's the measurement in which we live by
7:00, 11:00, 12:00 meaning midnight
It all just goes by
"In a blink of an eye"
This has got me thinking....
Could we instead use words to keep track of time
"How long does it take to make coffee"
Could you possibly say
"As long as it takes for you to get a high school degree "
(And yes that was meant to be funny)
But then again we all go at our different paces
So it wouldn't be as accurate. This has caused me to think hard
Which is what I do most of the time
There it goes again.... timeTick tock
tick tock
tick tockStop.
