Walking out of his room the next morning, Kyungsoo watched as puppy Chanyeol ran out ahead of him and pounced the closest person which just so happened to be Baekhyun.

"Good morning Channie!" He laughed while picking up the small puppy and playing with him a bit.

Kyungsoo watched quietly with a small smile. The second Baekhyun made eye contact with him, he instantly felt his heart falter in it's beats and a small blush tint his cheeks. Baekhyun's smile only widened at that as he went back to playing around with the small puppy.

Once puppy Chanyeol wandered back into Kyungsoo's room, Baekhyun made his way over to the smaller boy with a smile. "How about we spend the day together?"

Fighting off the urge to really smile, Kyungsoo chuckled while walking past him and outside the village home. "If you want to then I guess I'm fine with that." He said over his shoulder.

Baekhyun laughed while catching up with him and intertwining their fingers as they held hands together. "Always so cold Soo."

"It's in my nature."

"Your nature is shit."

"I never noticed."

"Sarcastic asshat."

Kyungsoo chuckled at that. "Would you have it any other way?"

"I guess not." Baekhyun sighed and then gave him a bright grin. "Let's walk around for a bit!" He then yelled excitedly.

Laughing, Kyungsoo went along with him and allowed himself to be pulled around the village. Hand in hand, Baekhyun brought him to some of his favorite spots to hang out. The pond. An old park with swings and small playground. This cool shop that always gives him free pieces of cake because they like him better than Jongdae. Even to where some of his newer friends are like this kid named Key who apparently shares his love for makeup and other cosmetics.

As they did this, Kyungsok couldn't help but focus on how natural it felt to hold Baekhyun's hand like this. Holding hands and just being near each other. It's... Weird.

"Bro! Come over here!" Kyungsoo heard his brother yell happily behind him.

Him and Baekhyun walked over to Jongin only to see not only Tao but also Taemin and Sehun all sitting in the pond with their butts now completely soaked.

Kyungsoo sighed. "Who was it this time?" He asked, fighting off his laugh from the ridiculous sight.

"Go ask Luhan and Lay." Sehun said like a brat.

"It wasn't us!"

Both Yixing and Luhan darted behind some different houses and probably took off down the back alleys because the second they screamed that out, Sehun, Tao, and Taemin immediately took off after them. Jongin reluctantly followed behind after saying goodbye to his brother and Baekhyun.

"That was funny." Baekhyun laughed while squeezing Kyungsoo's hand lightly.

Kyungsoo smiled to him and then chuckled some. "Leave it to them to act like five year olds." He sighed.

  The rest of the day flew by and eventually night was drawing near. Everyone was heading back to their homes for the night including Baekhyun and Kyungsoo when a loud boom from over the large mountains was heard far off in the distance. Kyungsoo already had a good idea what that could be and was quickly dragging Baekhyun hurriedly back to their village home provided by his grandparents.

They had such a nice day together and Kyungsoo could even say he enjoyed it and now look, all the hell they thought they left behind is starting up yet again.

Opening the door to the village home, Kyungsoo wasn't surprised in the least to see his original group with two additions standing around with bags already packed. "Who's up for another run?" He asked jokingly making everyone laugh dryly.

Baekhyun rushed off to grab his bag and so did Kyungsoo. All eight boys have prepared escape bags just for this situation. Everyone has food, water, maps, compasses, everything you'd need when running from the government except for weapons. As much as Kyungsoo hates that horrible government, he couldn't ever bring himself to hurt any of them even if they are responsible for his first loves death.

With puppy Chanyeol resting in his arms, Kyungsoo came out of his room and looked to everyone with a small calm smile. "Everyone, let's go to the back of the village and exit there furthest from those large explosions of who knows what." He ordered and everyone immediately began walking out the village house.

Minseok and Chen's wounds had healed quickly so thankfully they are now able to run just like before. Luhan and Yixing stuck closely together and so did Jongin and Zitao. But Sehun stayed put where he was and didn't make a move to head for the door

"Baek, follow them." He said to the boy who was waiting for him. Reluctantly, Baekhyun took one last glance back and then left to go catch up with the others. "Sehun..?"

The younger boy laughed awkwardly while pulling down his shirt collar some. Right above his collar bone was a barely there faint blinking green light under his skin. "When they got Suho, I tried to save him and was instead caught." He informed while pulling out a phone from his pocket. "Take this and I'll feed you information that I get from them."

Kyungsoo's eyes widened as he took the phone and looked back up to Sehun. "You're a spy?" He asked and then laughed. "I should have known it was too good to be true that you came back minimally harmed."

"Look, it was either I spy or I get killed along with Suho and I didn't want to see everyone here die as well." Sehun sighed while glancing down to the watch he has on his wrist. "The bombers are ahead of schedule so I need you and the others to head for a bunker far up north past the village and deep in the forest. You'll be able to find it Soo."

"How do I know I can trust you?"

"I only became a spy so I could learn information and try to protect the people I have left in my life." He answered honestly. "Besides, we've been friends for how long now? Don't you trust me at all?" He then laughed more genuinely than before.

Kyungsoo sighed while sticking the phone in his pants pocket and then shot Sehun a small smile. "I won't let them keep you you know that right?"

Sehun chuckled. "I figured you wouldn't. But this thing in my neck is a tracker so for now, leave me and I'll be sure to keep you updated on where the next wave of Officials are moving."

Nodding his head, Kyungsoo thanked Sehun for everything and quickly left to go to the others as a loud and much closer bomb went off. The villagers were in sheer panic and so were some of the other towns people who had fled after he had. This was bound to happen though and everyone should have expected for this to happen sooner or later.

A clean escape from that blasted town wouldn't ever be possible when the government is tracking their every move...
