Chapter 4- Brothers

  Jellal's POV-

I walked into the room where Gray and Natsu should be waiting. I opened to the door to find the two fighting. Gray only had his underwear on and Natsu was practically destroying everything. Natsu bumped a table and almost made a pot fall. "Did you come here just to fight?" I asked finally getting them to acknowledge me.

"Yeah, well we wouldn't be fighting if ice princess just let me sit in that chair!" Natsu pointed to the chair that had Gray's clothes on it. Seriously, a chair? Couldn't they choose something more important to bicker about?

"Don't go blaming it on me! You-," I heavily sighed "is something wrong, Jellal?" Gray asked me, pausing his fight with Natsu. "If we have to talk about it, I rather do it in private," I sighed.

Gray sat in a chair at my desk, while Natsu plopped down onto my bed. "So what's the problem?" Natsu asked. "In four months, I have to...to...get married...," silence spread through the room. "Ha ha, very funny. We both know you don't want to get married any time soon," Gray said questioning me. "It's not that I want to get married, I have to get married," I sighed and sat down next to Natsu.

"Have to? Why?" Natsu asked me. "Because, my father said I need a bride so I can be the next heir," I sighed. "Well, have you tried talking to him?" Gray crossed his arms. "Kind of, he cuts me off before I start to talk." "I don't know what else to say," you could hear the sympathy in Gray's voice. "Yeah, neither of us have a situation like that, well at least not yet."

Natsu and Gray left, leaving me to myself. "I wonder if I would have to do this if they were still here," I spoke aloud to myself. Would I still have to get married if my brothers were still here? Maybe, and it's not like they're coming back any time soon.

My older brothers Siegrain and Mystogan, both when missing when I was young...Back when the Fairy War was going on...The time I-

"Jellal, may I come in?" my thoughts were interrupted by a maid.

"Uhhh, yes! Yeah, sure...," I replied snapping out of my thoughts.

"Princess Wendy has requested to meet you, may she come in?" the maid asked politely. "Of course!" Wendy was like the little sister I never had. Except for the fact that we are cousins.

"Hi Jellal," Wendy said sitting down in a chair. "Hello Wendy, what brings you here?" "Well, I heard from my parents that you had to get married, is it true?" I took a deep breath, "Sadly yes, even though I'm not ready." "Oh, well do you think you'll still have time to hang out with me?" Wendy asked hopefuly. "No matter what happens, I'll always have time for you okay?" "Okay," Wendy replied picking up a board game,"how about chess, it's your favorite?" "I would love to play chess," I replied.

While we played the game, Wendy kept asking question about how I thought the girl I would marry would be like. "Do you think she'll like sweets?" "Will she like Carla?" and other questions.

A reason it took me long to update was because I couldn't decide what reason Natsu and Gray were fighting or how to start the chapter, sorry it took so long but is still short
