Jellal's POV-

I walked into the infamous building of books. Probably my favorite place in the whole kingdom, the library. No matter how many problems I have, I can always relax here.

A girl with bright blue hair wearing an orange headband sat at the front desk. She seemed to be completely engulfed by the book she was reading. "Hello?" I asked asked her. She continued to read her book. "Um...Hello?" I asked but then was immediately shushed. "Just let me finish this chapter," She said. She must be a new worker.

I waited what seemed to be days. "All right," she closed her book, "what do you need?" She asked me politely. "I need to know where the historical fiction is," I asked. The girl sat up from the desk, "okay, I'll show you." The girl walked through the shelves of books.

She finally stopped when we got to the historical fiction section, "do you need anything else?" "No thank you," I said looking through the books on the shelves. "Okay," the girl said before walking back to the front of the library and pulling out a new book.

I looked through the history books when one in particular caught my attention. I took the book out of the shelf, it looked like any other history book except for the title The Great Fairy War it read. I walked over to a table and sat down, opened the book and started to read it. I completely forgot about the original reason I had been there.

'Not Long ago there was a great fairy kingdom. A place where fairies lived in peace and joy, not far away from the humans. Humans and fairies lived in peace and held negotiation between the two races. Humans would let fairies use their inventions and science, while fairies let humans use their magic.

A secret organization started to wonder about the connection of fairies and magic. They would kidnap fairies and test their horrid experiments on them, torturing the fairies until they broke.

The fairy king soon came to a realisation of this problem and banned all contact between races. But this didn't stop the humans. They continued to conduct their experiments. They would cut fairies' wings off and use them as magical fuel.

The humans were jealous of the fairies' power, and not all humans could use magic. This was a way for non-magic users to be able to use magic.

The fairy king was infuriated and declared war on the humans. They seeked help from the witch Anaria. With Anaria's great skill in potions she was able to make a magic brew to turn fairies human sized for 24 hours. With this the fairy king could express his hatred towards the humans.

War engulfed the two kingdoms and many lives were lost. The fairy kingdom was burned to the ground, leaving many fairies left homeless.

The humans hunted down and slayed the rest of the fairies, leaving them with the fuel to use magic.'

I closed the book. Is this true? Did we really do something as horrible as this? I shook my head, no way. Father would never do something as horrible as that. But deep down I know he would. I did my best to ignore what I had read as I put the history book back up.
